MSI says that the premium crossover is all set to hit the Indian roads. Adding to it, the vehicle is claimed to be spacious and luxurious, and is powered with an unbeatable engine. The S-Cross crossover will come with two diesel engines- a 1.3-litre DDiS and 1.6-litre Fiat-sourced Multijet diesel. The former will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission while the more powerful unit will be coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Dimensionally, the S-Cross is 4,300mm long, 1,765mm wide and 1,580mm high, and it comes with a large wheelbase of 2,600mm. While the European spec model comes with a ground clearance of 170mm, we expect that the India-spec S-Cross will be benefitted with a higher ground clearance of about 180-200mm. Moreover, the crossover also offers a large boot space of 430-litres.
For passengers' safety and security, the S-Cross has ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution System), Driver and co-driver airbags, central locking, hill assist and engine start-stop button. Set to rival against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano, the S-Cross is expected to be priced in the range of INR 8 lakh to INR 12 lakh.
