If reports are to be believed, the YRA hatchback is expected to be offered with four engine options- three petrol and one diesel motor. The vehicle will get a newly developed K12B 1.25-litre petrol unit that will produce 90bhp and 118Nm of torque, while the second petrol option could be a K14B motor that is good for 91bhp of power and 130Nm of torque. The company could also introduce 1.0-litre Boosterjet mill producing 90bhp. The oil burner will be the tried and tested 1.3-litre multi-jet unit that will produce 90bhp of power and 200Nm of torque. A five-speed manual transmission will come as standard, while a CVT is expected to be on offer.

Like the S-Cross, the YRA premium hatchback will also be sold through MSI's NEXA showrooms. Expected to be launched by this festive season, the YRA will rival against the likes of the Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and the Volkswagen Polo.
