What makes a supercar successful? Apart from the emotional value, the performance figures, the way it performs on the track etc, there's one more thing that makes a car (or supercar, in this case) successful and that is the sales figures.

McLaren P1 can prove to be one of the more successful supercars out there. The Woking-based company planned a production run of 375 units, but the latest report from AutoExpress claims that McLaren has sold two-thirds i.e. 250 examples of the P1 already. The car has found buyers in Europe, Middle East, USA and Taiwan but they'll have to wait for some time to get the 900+ PS supercar in their garage as the first delivery's scheduled for August 22nd with a total of 50 P1s expected to be built this year.
One car a day is how fast the P1 supercar will be made from July 8, by a team of 70 technicians. All the P1s will be left hand drive and if you're a buyer, then you get a chance to see your car being put together. Yes, driving an LHD in India will be problematic but if you have close to a million pounds (add another million or so for the import duty), getting this car should prove to be a great idea.
