Automakers in this era are looking to cash in on the growing popularity of entry-level premium cars. And Mercedes Benz at that, is also looking to get back to the top position in the luxury car space – not just in the international market, but also in India.
After introducing the all-new Mercedes Benz B-Class premium MPV in the country back in September 2012, the German automaker is now eyeing to fully exploit the bubbling segment with the all-new A-Class.

We knew for sure that the premium hatch is indeed, heading for the Indian soil when the model was caught on test near Pune in November. But now, Mercedes Benz India has officially confirmed that it's all-new A-Class premium hatchback will grace the Indian market in June 2013.
Under the hood, we expect to see a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 125PS of max power and close to 200Nm of peak torque, while the diesel variant could come with a 1.8-litre turbocharged unit that will churn out close to 136PS of max power.
