Ola Electric Launched Gen 3 S1 Portfolio with Eight New Scooters

Ola Electric unveils 8 new Gen 3 S1 scooters, starting at Rs 79,999. The lineup boasts improved performance, range (up to 320km), and features. Flagship S1 Pro+ gets a 5.3kWh battery. Ola also announced upcoming Gig, S1 Z scooters & Roadster motorcycles.

Ola Electric Launched Gen 3 S1 Portfolio with Eight New Scooters

New Delhi – Ola Electric has significantly expanded its electric scooter lineup with the launch of eight new Gen 3 S1 models. The new scooters cater to a range of price points and feature improved performance, efficiency, and affordability. Prices range from Rs 79,999 for the S1 X (2kWh) to Rs 1,69,999 for the top-tier S1 Pro+ (5.3kWh).

Enhanced Performance and Expanded Options:

The flagship S1 Pro+ now offers two battery options: 5.3kWh (with the 4680 Bharat Cell) and 4kWh, priced at Rs 1,69,999 and Rs 1,54,999, respectively. The S1 Pro is available with 4kWh and 3kWh batteries, costing Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,14,999. The S1 X series includes the 2kWh model at Rs 79,999, the 3kWh at Rs 89,999, and the 4kWh at Rs 99,999. A higher-spec S1 X+ (4kWh) is priced at Rs 1,07,999.

Ola is also offering discounts of up to Rs 35,000 on its Gen 2 scooters. The Gen 2 S1 Pro now starts at Rs 1,14,999, and the S1 X (2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh) models are available for Rs 69,999, Rs 79,999, and Rs 89,999, respectively.

Gen 3 Platform: A Leap Forward:

The Gen 3 platform brings a 20% increase in peak power, an 11% cost reduction, and a 20% range improvement. Key upgrades include a more reliable mid-drive motor with a chain drive, a more efficient integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), and segment-first dual ABS with patented brake-by-wire technology. The brake-by-wire system enhances safety and boosts energy recovery by 15%.

Ola Electric Chairman & Managing Director, Bhavish Aggarwal, stated that Gen 3 elevates the EV two-wheeler industry to the “Next Level,” offering unmatched performance and superior efficiency.

Model Specific Features:

S1 Pro+: Available with 5.3kWh (320 km range) and 4kWh (242 km range) battery options, a 13kW motor, and top speeds of 141 kmph and 128 kmph, respectively. Features four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.

S1 Pro: Offered with 4kWh (242 km range) and 3kWh (176 km range) batteries, an 11kW motor, and top speeds of 125 kmph and 117 kmph, respectively. Includes single ABS and dual disc brakes.

S1 X+: Features a 4kWh battery, a top speed of 125 kmph, a 242 km range, 0-40 kmph acceleration in 2.7 seconds, a 4.3-inch color-segmented display, and new seat foam.

S1 X: Comes in 4kWh (242 km range), 3kWh (176 km range), and 2kWh (108 km range) options, powered by a 7kW motor. Top speeds reach 123 kmph, 115 kmph, and 101 kmph, respectively. All models have four riding modes.

Software, Warranty, and Future Plans:

The MoveOS 5 beta update, arriving mid-February, will introduce features like a Smartwatch App, Smart Park, Bharat Mood, Road Trip Mode, Live Location Sharing, and Emergency SOS.

Gen 3 scooters come with a standard three-year/40,000 km warranty for both the vehicle and battery, with an option to extend the battery warranty up to eight years/1,25,000 km for Rs 14,999.

Ola also previewed its upcoming Gig and S1 Z scooter series (priced between Rs 39,999 and Rs 64,999) for personal and commercial use, with deliveries starting in April and May 2025. The Roadster motorcycle series, including the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro, will offer prices starting from Rs 74,999 to Rs 1,99,999. Ola aims to further accelerate EV adoption in India with these new products.
