As if Porsche didn't impress everybody with the astonishing lap time of 6min 57s around the Nurburgring Nordschliefe, the carmaker has updated the yet to be launched car.

So, after the recent update, Porsche claims that the 918 Spyder has become quicker. It now does 100kmph from a standstill in 2.6s (an improvement of 0.2s) and 0-200kmph in 7.2s (an improvement of 0.5s). Those improvements won't look mega on road, the biggest improvement is in the 0-300kmph time, which has improved by a massive 2.1s (from 23s to 19.9s).
While McLaren is busy enjoying the fact that all of the 375 P1s have been sold, it's Porsche that gets to have the last laugh, don't you think? Do have a look at the snippets from the record breaking Nordschliefe lap by Marc Lieb in the 918 Spyder in the video below. The 887hp hybrid supercar goes on sale next year.
