Renault Captur crossover gets priced in UK

The compact crossover costs between £12,495 and £16,495 depending on the engine and trim levels.

Renault has officially announced the prices for the all-new Captur, an urban crossover that will go up against the likes of Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke in the UK. The Captur will go on sale starting May 1 with prices ranging from £12,495 (Rs 10.3 lakh) to £16,495 (Rs 13.6 lakh) depending on the engine and trim levels.

As for the trim levels, the entry-level Captur Expression costs £12,495 and comes equipped with cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers, cruise control and a trip computer. In terms of safety features, this entry-level variant gets Electronic Stability Control (ESC), traction control, hill start assist and a speed limiter besides ABS and airbags.

Move up the range and there’s the Captur Expression+ which costs £14,495 and adds features like climate control, fog lamps and body coloured door mirrors. The top-spec Captur Dynamique S MediaNav is the most expensive of the lot, costing £16,495. It offers a 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system with navigation facility, cornering headlamps, leather for steering wheel and gear knob, bigger 17-inch wheels and a contrasting color for the roof.

First unveiled at the 2013 edition of the Geneva Motor Show, The Renault Captur will take on Ford’s EcoSport and the Nissan Juke in the hotly contested compact crossover segment in the European markets.
