Tata Sierra Sees Over 70,000 Bookings on First Day

Tata Motors has reported a strong market response to the new-generation Tata Sierra, announcing that the SUV received over 70,000 confirmed bookings within the first day of bookings opening. In addition to this, the company revealed that around 1.35 lakh customers have already submitted their preferred configurations, indicating high purchase intent, although these bookings are yet to be fully converted.

Bookings for the Tata Sierra commenced shortly after its official launch on November 25, 2025, marking the return of the iconic nameplate to the Indian market. The Sierra, which was earlier discontinued, has now been reintroduced as a mid-size SUV, positioned to compete in one of the fastest-growing segments in the country.

Tata Motors is offering the new Sierra with three engine options, catering to a wide range of buyers. These include a 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine, a 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine. This diverse powertrain lineup reflects Tata’s strategy to appeal to both performance-focused customers and those seeking everyday usability.

However, Tata Motors has not yet shared variant-wise booking details or delivery timelines. The company has stated that more information regarding deliveries and production ramp-up will be announced in the coming weeks. The strong initial response clearly highlights the Sierra’s nostalgic appeal combined with modern SUV expectations.
