Maruti Suzuki Swift
Ever since its initial launch, the Swift has been a product of appreciation in the Indian automotive market. This flagship hatchback from Maruti Suzuki has always been among the top selling hatchbacks in the country. With the 2014 facelift, Maruti further reinforced its position among the top 5 hatchbacks in India.
Launched with some considerable design updates the new Swift looks more polished, dynamic and futuristic. On the exterior front the vehicle gets a revised front bumper, larger airdam redesigned honeycomb grille, and silver accents for fog lamp housing. Honda City 2014
The Honda City has been among the most admired sedans in India. The car has been at the top of the segment charts for most of the 15 year run, which is quite an achievement, considering its petrol-only engine range. The 2014 Honda City is the third facelift received by this flagship car from Honda India and it still continues to dominate its segment. The most considerable addition is that the new Honda City will now be available in a diesel variant too.
The new Honda City features a design that shows quiet some resemblance to Honda Civic, especially when it comes to the grille and bodyline. There's a definite fluidic influence on the side profile, but it's the rear styling that really stands out. Volkswagen Vento
The facelifted Vento launched by Volkswagen gets a number of upgrades compared to its previous model. Though on the design front you might not find huge upgrades but Volkswagen has made some considerable tweaks. The fascia looks sharp and aggressive thanks to the restrained-yet-smart use of chrome and reprofiled headlamps. While a restyling can be noticed in the bumper and tail-lights, the car gets brand new alloys.
Inside the new Vento, the dashboard gets a two-tone option and the centre console gets silver finishing in contrast to the black. Along with a new three-spoke steering wheel with some glossy-black finish and controls mounted on both sides. Volkswagen offers you three engine option, two fuel options and two transmissions. While the petrol variants will be powered by a 1.6-litre MPI manual transmission and 1.2-litre TSI DGS, the diesel variant gets a 1.5-litre engine both with manual transmission and DGS. The new Volkswagen Vento is prices in the range of INR 7.44-10.94 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Mahindra Scorpio
Perhaps in the line of facelifts the all new Mahindra Scorpio is the only facelift og 2014 that has gone through so many changes. Since its launch the Mahindra Scorpio has been a leader in the SUV segment, especially known for its ruggedness and affordability. More than a facelift it’s almost new generation Scorpio with a new chassis, almost all new body panels and much-improved ride and handling.
At the interior front we can see a lot of fresh updates and additions with brand new seats and a new dashboard. The power window switches have been shifted from the centre console to a more handy location on the doors, and the fuel filler cover release is also conveniently located behind the steering wheel. The front sports a new grille that is a more striking and modern one with blade-like chrome slats, and there are projector headlamps with LED daytime-running lights.
The powerhouse of the new Scorpio has the same 118bhp, 2.2-litre mHawk turbo-diesel engine and a CRDe engine for the base variant. The new Mahindra Scorpio has been priced in the range of INR 8.40 – 13.05 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
