TVS Motor Company Launches Orbiter – A Smart, Sustainable Urban EV for India
TVS Orbiter EV is priced at 99,900 with 158 km range, 34L boot, cruise control, hill hold assist and smart connected features. A new era of urban commuting begins.
The TVS Motor Company has unveiled its new electric scooter the TVS Orbiter that is created to redefine urban commuting with an ideal mix of technology, style, and sustainability. Retailing at 99,900 (ex-showroom in Bengaluru and New Delhi, including PM e-Drive scheme), the Orbiter is packed with innovations that are first in the segment and which strive to make daily rides smarter and more efficient.
The Orbiter is an impressive 158km IDC range, an expansive boot space of 34 litre with two helmets, cruise control as well as hill hold assist, matching the demands of the modern rider. It is also the first in the industry to have 14 inch front wheel, which adds to stability and comfort in the ride.
On design, the Orbiter is constructed with the purpose and modern aesthetics with aerodynamic efficiency, 845 mm long flat seat, and 290 mm straight line footboard, added to provide comfort. An upright positioning is guaranteed by a wide handlebar, and its bright color choices such as Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, and Martian Copper make it look younger.
The scooter is also equipped with high-technology connected capability via a mobile application, providing proactive safety notifications (crash, fall, theft, geofencing), remote management, turn-by-turn navigation and OTA updates. Its Eco and Power, which comes with regenerative braking, provides a performance/efficiency balance.
TVS Motor adds the Orbiter to its EV range, which will enable an accelerated shift to sustainable mobility in India and provide unprecedented comfort, connectivity, and confidence to the urban customers.
