While we are keeping track of the Alfa Romeo 4C’s stint at the Nurburgring, here’s another update on the record-breaking lap time of 8 minutes and 4 second.
Thanks to the good people at Alfa Romeo who have released a full video of the run, we can now see Nordschleife expert Horst von Saurma piloting the 4C round the gruesome Nurburgring circuit and towards the record books.
With a lap time of 8 minutes and 4 seconds, the 4C has managed to set a new record for the fastest time for cars with engines less than 250 horsepower. Powered by a 1,750cc turbocharged petrol engine, which puts out around 250PS of power and 350Nm of torque, the 4C manages to accelerate from standstill to 100kmph in 4.5 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 250kmph. However, what made it really quick around the ‘Ring is its impressive handling thanks to optimum weight distribution.
