The Volkswagen Vento, the stretched and booted version of the Volkswagen Polo, which was launched in India few months back is gearing up to hit the market in Malaysia very soon. The news stems from a Malaysian blog, Paul Tan that reports spotting of a huge consignment of Volkswagen Ventos on the Malaysian port. The consignment mainly consists of black, grey, white and silver models.

The badge on the rear left of the sedan confirms that the car will carry the name-tag, Volkswagen Polo sedan in the Malaysian market instead of the Volkswagen Vento badge as it carries in the Indian market. The Malaysian market is not that big on diesel cars and that's probably why the rear right badge says 1.6 without the TSI label that indicates that the sedan will use a normally aspirated 1.6-litre petrol engine. The 1.6-litre MPI petrol unit is the same engine that is currently seen in the Indian and the Russian maker and produces 105PS of power and 153Nm of torque.
