World Environment Day: Celebrities who opted for cleaner set of wheels
When we talk high-end celebrity cars, the first thing that pops into your mind will be luxury cars that come with powerful engines, stylish interiors, exclusive designs and more. Also with such luxury cars you might even think that fuel efficiency or emission controls are next to negligible. But there are celebrities who care for our plant and today on World Environment Day we bring you a special list of such popular celebrities who have chosen to ride green and at the same time in style. If there is one thing you should know about this southern superstar then it’s that more than a movie star he is a true petrolhead. Apart for being a successful actor Ajith is also known for being a race car driver and has participated in British Formula Three season as a Formula Two racer. And his passion for wheels is still seen from his array of cars and bike that largely include BMWs. If speculations are to be believed than he is also a proud owner of a spanking new BMW i8.

Like our Indian star this Hollywood heartthrob too has a special eye for high performance sportscar. But unlike Ajith, Leonardo DiCaprio chose American hybrids instead of German. The famous actor owns two hybrid sports cars - A Tesla Roadster and Fisker Karma. Both these cars are known to be quite a popular choice among Hollywood celebrities and our Wolf of Wall Street actor is one among them.
Jay Leno – McLaren P1, BMW 7 Hydrogen & Chrysler Crossfire
The popular American actor and comedian is probably one of few celebrities who have the largest collection of cars and bikes with 286 vehicles (169 cars and 117 motorcycles). While his car collection goes beyond hybrids we would like to mainly talk about his green machines and frankly that alone is more than enough. Teen icon and pop singer Justin Bieber might be quite infamous on the internet and most desired among teenage girls but the only thing that interests us is his chrome finish Fisker Karma hybrid. The popular singer turned quite a few paparazzi heads with its shiny and spanking hybrid sportscar and the same is the reason for him being in this list.
Brad Pitt Tesla Roadster, EV Sportscar
With all the humanitarian work that Brad Pitt does, you shouldn’t be too surprised to see him in a list of celebrities who are trying to be nice to our planet. The popular actor and philanthropist is yet another celebrity owner of a Tesla Roadster EV sports car. Additionally he also owns a Tesla Model S among his hybrid collection.
