Joe Burns c Rishabh Pant b Jasprit Bumrah 0 10 0 0 0
4.2
Jasprit Bumrah to Joe Burns, OUT! TAKEN! Bumrah draws first blood. Lovely stuff from him. Burns poor run continues as he departs for a duck. Bumrah runs in and bowls a good length ball just outside off, Burns comes on the front foot and looks to defend but ends up getting an outside edge. The ball goes behind and it is a simple chance for Pant. They all go up in appeal and the finger is raised.
Matthew Wade c Ravindra Jadeja b Ravichandran Ashwin 30 39 3 0 76.92
12.5
Ravichandran Ashwin to Matthew Wade, OUT! CAUGHT! Jadeja holds on! There was some confusion but he did really well to keep his eyes on the ball to hold onto it. A poor shot from Wade. He was playing aggressively and he once again tried to go after Ashwin. A Tossed up ball around off and middle, Wade dances down the track and looks to hammer it on the leg side but ends up getting a top edge. The ball goes high in the air towards mid-wicket. Jadeja and Gill go for the catch but Jadeja calls for it but Gill doesn't see that. They both go for it and almost collides with each other. However, Jadeja keeps his eyes on the ball to take a fine catch.
Marnus Labuschagne c Shubman Gill b Mohammed Siraj 48 132 4 0 36.36
49.3
Mohammed Siraj to Marnus Labuschagne, OUT! CAUGHT! Siraj strikes! His first Test wicket and it is the other debutant, Gill who takes a fine catch. A huge wicket for India. Perfect field placement from Rahane and Siraj delivers the delivery. Full and on the pads, Labuschagne is just 2 short of a half ton. He gets the ball on his pads and looks to flick. He fails to keep it down as it goes to the right side of the backward square leg fielder. Gill there lunges at the ball and takes the catch to help his fellow debutant get his debut wicket. Shake of the head from Labuschagne as he heads to the pavilion, 2 short of his half ton.
Steven Smith c Cheteshwar Pujara b Ravichandran Ashwin 0 8 0 0 0
14.3
Ravichandran Ashwin to Steven Smith, OUT! TAKEN DOWN THE LEG SIDE! Ashwin removes the big fish. Smith falls for a duck. Lovely from Ashwin. Bowls a loopy ball around middle and leg, Smith lunges forward to work it on the leg side but ends up hitting it straight to the leg slip fielder. Pujara there takes a good catch. Ashwin removes Smith again. Terrific stuff from the Indians here.
Travis Head c Ajinkya Rahane b Jasprit Bumrah 38 92 4 0 41.3
41.5
Jasprit Bumrah to Travis Head, OUT! TAKEN! Bumrah gets the breakthrough. How many times has he done that for his team? Almost every time. A good length ball just around off, it comes back in as Head has a poke at it. He ends up getting a thick outside edge which goes to the right side of gully. It goes quickly but the Indian skipper is alert as he does really well to move to his right and take the catch nicely. A fine knock from Head comes to an end.
Cameron Green lbw b Mohammed Siraj 12 60 0 0 20
61.4
Mohammed Siraj to Cameron Green, OUT! Three reds and Green has to go. Brilliant bowling from Siraj. Full, fast and straight. Green looks to drive with straight bat but misses to get hit plumb in front of the wickets. A loud, loud apppeal and the umpire raises his finger this time. This looks plumb but Green reviews after having a word with his skipper. Let's see if the technology can save him. Replays roll in and well Green has to go as there is no bat involved and the ball is hitting the stumps.
Tim Paine (C) (W) c Hanuma Vihari b Ravichandran Ashwin 13 38 2 0 34.21
62.6
Ravichandran Ashwin to Tim Paine, OUT! TAKEN! Ashwin strikes again and he gets the big wicket of the Australian skipper. Terrific catch down the leg side. Wicket no. 7 goes down now. Ashwin gets his third. A tossed up ball on middle and leg, Paine comes forward and looks to flick but gets an inside edge. Rahane has kept the fielder there for something similar. Vihar is waiting for a chance like this at backward short leg. He gets the chance and does really well to hold onto this sharp catch. Massive, massive wicket.
Pat Cummins c Mohammed Siraj b Ravindra Jadeja 9 33 1 0 27.27
72.3
Ravindra Jadeja to Pat Cummins, OUT! CAUGHT! Jadeja gets the last man. A fine catch from Siraj. A floated ball around middle, Cummins looks for the slog but ends up getting a top edge. The ball goes high in the air towards long on. Sirak settles underneath and takes the catch easily. Australia have been bowled out for 195.
Mitchell Starc c Mohammed Siraj b Jasprit Bumrah 7 8 1 0 87.5
67.1
Jasprit Bumrah to Mitchell Starc, OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust and it is Bumrah now who picks his 3rd wicket. A sharp bumper to Starc who looks to take it on and goes for the pull but ends up getting a top edge. The ball goes high in the air towards fine leg. Siraj there settles under it and takes first catch of his Test career. India all over Australia here.
Nathan Lyon lbw b Jasprit Bumrah 20 17 2 1 117.65
71.5
Jasprit Bumrah to Nathan Lyon, OUT! No willow there and it is Umpire's Call on Wickets Hitting So, he has to go. 9 down and Bumrah has 4. After getting hit for a six and a boundary on back of a length ball, Bumrah lands this one on a good length and makes it to come back in as Lyon looks for a drive but misses to get hit on the pad.

Mayank Agarwal lbw b Mitchell Starc 0 6 0 0 0
0.6
Mitchell Starc to Mayank Agarwal, OUT! LBW! Umpire's call on hitting the wickets. Starc has struck early and Agarwal fails again. Lovely stuff from Starc and he is pumped up. A good length ball just around off, comes back in just a touch as Agarwal looks to defend but misses to get hit on the pad. They appeal and the finger is raised. Agarwal is not too sure if he has got any bat but he goes for the review. Replays roll in and it shows that the ball has hit the pad first. Ball Tracker shows it to be umpire's call on hitting the wickets. So, Agarwal has to go. India keep their review though but a horrid start again for India.
Shubman Gill c Tim Paine b Pat Cummins 45 65 8 0 69.23
21.6
Pat Cummins to Shubman Gill, OUT! TAKEN! Cummins finally gets his man. A lose shot from Gill and this time he runs out of his luck. He wanted to go after Cummins here but falls in the process. Lovely from Cummins. He deserves this wicket. Fuller and outside off, Gill looks to go for the big booming drive through the covers but he ends up nicking it behind. A simple chance for Paine behind the sticks. Paine will not make any mistake. Australia get the breakthrough they were after. A fine knock from Gill but he would feel he has thrown away a top start.
Cheteshwar Pujara c Tim Paine b Pat Cummins 17 70 1 0 24.29
23.4
Pat Cummins to Cheteshwar Pujara, OUT! CAUGHT! A stunner of a catch from Paine and Australia get the massive wicket of Pujara. It is that man Cummins again. Huge, huge wicket. Lovely bowling from Cummins again. It pitches just around off and it moves just a hint. Pujara looks to defend but gets an outside edge. The ball goes to the right side of Paine. It is in front of the first slip fielder but Paine dives to his right and the ball sticks in his hand. A superb take from the Aussie skipper as it would have fallen short of the slip fielder again. Credit to Cummins as well for steaming in, in this extended spell and he has got the reward for bowling in the right line and length.
Ajinkya Rahane (C) run out (Marnus Labuschagne / Tim Paine) 112 223 12 0 50.22
99.5
Nathan Lyon to Ravindra Jadeja,OUT! RUN OUT! Oh, dear! Rahane is short and he has to go. Australia get the big wicket. He just batted and batted and batted but now he falls trying to sneak a single to help his partner get to his half ton. But Jadeja will be stranded on 49 for now and Rahane goes after playing a brilliant knock. A flatter ball around off, Jadeja pokes it towards point and calls for a risky run. Skipper Rahane responds. Labuschagne quickly gets to the ball and fires the throw at the keeper's end. Paine collects and takes the bails off. The third umpire has been called for. Replays roll in and it shows Rahane is short, short by a few inches only but he has to go. Such a sad end to a fantastic knock for the skipper. He was involved in a run out in the first game with Kohli and now as a skipper, he gets dismissed that way. A classy knock from him and a class act as he walks back. He pats Jadeja and probably asks him to carry on! Terrific innings and terrific gesture. Standing ovation from the crowd for the skipper as he walks off.
Hanuma Vihari c Steven Smith b Nathan Lyon 21 66 2 0 31.82
44.4
Nathan Lyon to Hanuma Vihari, OUT! CAUGHT! Lyon strikes! Vihari wanted to dominate the spinner but falls in the process. Lyon wins the battle. A tossed up ball on middle, Vihari winds up and goes for the slog sweep but the ball bounces extra and takes the gloves. It balloons to the left of the keeper. The first slip fielder, Smith, calls for the catch and takes it easily. They appeal and the finger is raised. Lyon gets his man and breaks the blooming stand. Shake of the head as Vihari walks back. India needed him to continue. India still behind 79.
Rishabh Pant (W) c Tim Paine b Mitchell Starc 29 40 3 0 72.5
59.1
Mitchell Starc to Rishabh Pant, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A poor, poor short from Pant and he throws it away. Starc gets the timely breakthrough. Short and just wide outside off, Pant throws his bat as he looks to cut but ends up getting a tickle behind. Paine accepts the catch and celebrates. It wasn't that wide but Pant wanted a peice of it but he falls in the process. 250th Test wicket for Starc. A good, little hand though from Pant. India still behind 22.
Ravindra Jadeja c Pat Cummins b Mitchell Starc 57 159 3 0 35.85
106.5
Mitchell Starc to Ravindra Jadeja, OUT! CAUGHT! The short ball plan works and Jadeja falls prey to it. He was probably frustrated off the short stuff and tried to take on the bowler. Starc banged it in again. Jadeja pulled it hard but he found Cummins at deep mid-wicket. A good sliding take from him as this one was hit flat. Replays showed that he juggled and held onto it on the second attempt. Starc is elated. End of a fine knock from Jadeja. India's lead is 111 right now.
Ravichandran Ashwin c Nathan Lyon b Josh Hazlewood 14 42 0 0 33.33
114.4
Josh Hazlewood to Ravichandran Ashwin, OUT! CAUGHT! Hazlewood gets one now. His first in the game. A length ball outside off, Ashwin looks to drive but ends up getting it off the outer half. It goes just over Lyon who is at point. He makes no mistake and takes the catch easily. India lead by 130 runs.
Umesh Yadav c Steven Smith b Nathan Lyon 9 19 1 0 47.37
113.6
Nathan Lyon to Umesh Yadav, OUT! CAUGHT! Lyon strikes and Yadav has to go. A tossed up ball outside off, the ball turns in. Yadav comes on the front foot and looks to defend but the ball takes the outside edge and goes straight to the slip fielder. Smith there makes no mistake. Just too good for the tail-ender.
Jasprit Bumrah c Travis Head b Nathan Lyon 0 1 0 0 0
115.1
Nathan Lyon to Jasprit Bumrah, OUT! CAUGHT! Tossed up and around off and middle, Bumrah gets down and looks to play the slog sweep. He fails to connect it well and hits it high in the air. The deep square leg fielder, Head, runs to his left and takes the catch easily. India lead by 131 runs. With this wicket, it is Lunch on Day 3.

Matthew Wade lbw b Ravindra Jadeja 40 137 3 0 29.2
43.6
Ravindra Jadeja to Matthew Wade, OUT! LBW! Three reds and Wade departs. That looked plumb and Wade knew it but he took the review sensing the importance of this wicket. A quicker one from Jadeja, it is the slider from him. Wade looks to work it on the leg side but misses to get rapped on the pad. The Indians appeal and the finger goes up. Wade is distraught as he knows he is a goner but he takes the review. The technology won't help him as it shows three reds on the Ball Tracker. He has to go. Waste of a review from him. A good, fighting knock from Wade though.
Joe Burns c Rishabh Pant b Umesh Yadav 4 10 0 0 40
3.1
Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns, OUT! CAUGHT! This time Burns has to go. A superb delivery from Yadav. This one pitches just around off and then goes away just a hint. Burns has to play at it. And he does that but only ends up getting a nick behind. Pant makes no mistake and the Indians celebrate. However, Burns gets to his partner at the other end and decides to challenge the onfield call, at the very last moment. Time for the replays. And only one is all we need. The Hot Spot detects a faint outside edge. Another failure for Burns and this time he takes a review along with him. Poor from the Aussie opener. An unplayable ball from Umesh though that would've got best of the batsmen out.
Marnus Labuschagne c Ajinkya Rahane b Ravichandran Ashwin 28 49 1 0 57.14
17.5
Ravichandran Ashwin to Marnus Labuschagne, OUT! CAUGHT! Ashwin strikes and provides the much-needed breakthrough to the Indians. Lovely loopy ball around off and middle from him this time. It pitches and then turns in to Marnus. Labuschagne looks to defend coming forward but it takes the outside edge and goes straight to Rahane at first slip. The Indian skipper takes the catch easily. Good, little innings from him but Australia needed him to carry on.
Steven Smith b Jasprit Bumrah 8 30 0 0 26.67
32.2
Jasprit Bumrah to Steven Smith, OUT! TIMBER! Smith is not sure what happened but the bails are disloged! Smith has been bowled around his legs. He is not sure and is hanging around. A length ball around middle and leg, Smith shuffles across the off side, like he always does and tries to work this one on the leg side but he misses. That doesn't happen often but it has happened here. And the ball goes on to dislodge the bail from the leg and middle pole. Smith is not sure what happened as Bumrah and the Indians celebrate. Smith hangs around and the onfield umpire asks the help from the TV umpire. And one replay is enough. Smith has to go. It is yet another failure for him in this series. A massive, massive moment in the game.
Travis Head c Mayank Agarwal b Mohammed Siraj 17 46 0 0 36.96
46.1
Mohammed Siraj to Travis Head, OUT! CAUGHT! Siraj strikes on the first ball of his new spell. What an amazing bowling change from Rahane. Half the Aussie side are back in the hut. Siraj is fired up and why not. Australia in all sorts of trouble. A good length ball outside off, Head throws his bat at it as he looks to cut but ends up getting a thick outside edge. It goes straight to Mayank at second slip who takes it easily. Head falls cheaply again.
Cameron Green c Ravindra Jadeja b Mohammed Siraj 45 146 5 0 30.82
90.6
Mohammed Siraj to Cameron Green, OUT! TAKEN! Green falls. The debutant has got the job done for India here. India one step closer to the win. A shortish ball around middle, Green looks to pull. However, it goes off the higher part of his bat and goes to Jadeja at mid-wicket. He seems to have lost it for a moment but does well to catch over his head. A fighting knock from Green comes to an end. Australia lead by 46 runs.
Tim Paine (C) (W) c Rishabh Pant b Ravindra Jadeja 1 9 0 0 11.11
47.4
Ravindra Jadeja to Tim Paine, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Paine has to go as RTS spots an edge. Paine is not pleased. He just cannot believe it. A tossed up delivery just outside off, it turns away and bounces extra as Paine looks to cut but misses. Pant collects and appeals along with the bowler. Not out says the umpire but Rahane goes for the review straightaway. The Hot Spot rolls in. Nothing on it. RTS detects the bat. The onfield call has to be changed. OUT it is and Paine departs. What a review from Rahane. India all over Australia at the moment.
Pat Cummins c Mayank Agarwal b Jasprit Bumrah 22 103 1 0 21.36
82.5
Jasprit Bumrah to Pat Cummins, OUT! TAKEN! Bumrah with a snorter and Cummins has no answers to that. After bowling length deliveries outside off, this time Bumrah bends his back and bowls a short ball around middle and leg. Cummins is caught in an awkward position as he hops and tries to fend it off. All he does is lobs the ball off the gloves to Agarwal at second slip. A gritty knock from Cummins but that was an unplayable ball from Bumrah.
Mitchell Starc not out 14 56 0 0 25
Nathan Lyon c Rishabh Pant b Mohammed Siraj 3 15 0 0 20
96.4
Mohammed Siraj to Nathan Lyon, OUT! CAUGHT! Siraj gets another one. Australia are 9 down. The effort ball from Siraj. He bangs it short and on middle and leg, Lyon goes for the pull but ends up getting a bit of gloves to the left of the keeper. Pant moves that way and takes the catch. They appeal and once again the finger has gone up.  Lyon knows he has hit it. He keeps walking. Wicket number 3 for Siraj. Australia leading by 54 runs.
Josh Hazlewood b Ravichandran Ashwin 10 21 0 0 47.62
103.1
Ravichandran Ashwin to Josh Hazlewood, OUT! TIMBER! Ashwin with the success. A flat ball around middle and leg, Hazlewood thinks that it will spin away way too much as he shoulders arms. To his dismay, the ball clips the off pole and takes the bails along with it. Australia are bowled out for 200. India need 70 to level the series.
