Right then, that caps off a thrilling white-ball leg of India's tour down under. What a fantastic 6 games we had - 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. The hosts won the former while the visitors clinched the latter.

Hardik Pandya is the PLAYER OF THE SERIES. Says that he is quite pleased with the way he played. Honestly adds that it was not an individual effort but a team effort. Says that he thinks he should head back home to see his family and child. Wants to spend quality time with them he says, on being asked if he thinks he might be called for the Test team.

Virat Kohli, with the trophy in hand, for winning the T20I series 2-1, says that in T20Is, one has to take their chances. Eventually, Kohli states, the batters had too much to do in the end. Adds that he still believes the team was competitive throughout the series. Virat says that he feels very happy. Is great that they got to play in front of crowds. Believes the games were exciting as crowds were present. Because crowds are there, the atmosphere is different too. Says that Australia are a very competitive side and that India need to do a lot to come on top.

Aaron Finch, the WINNING CAPTAIN, starts off by saying it is very good to be back and to be back with a win. Adds that bowling to Dhawan, who is a very good bowler of spin, was tough. States that Kohli is also a bludgeoner of the spinners and hence they needed to be careful. Says that some mistakes cost them the first 2 games. Adds that when one plays against the likes of champion teams like India and England, one needs to be at their best.

Mitchell Swepson is named the Player of the Match. Says that he is elated to bag this award and take his side home. On Shreyas Iyer's wicket off the very first ball that the batsman had faced, Mitchell states that he is happy to have got the wicket.

Andrew Tye is caught up for a quick chat. He says that he is happy with the total that Australia had got earlier. Adds that he is happy that Australia have won the last game. States that it is a batsman's game. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony...

Earlier in the game, Kohli got lucky with the coin toss and asked Australia to set the total. The Aussies got to the worst possible start as they lost skipper Finch for a duck. However, Wade and Smith added 50-plus and kept the boundaries coming with Wade doing his magic again. He got to his half ton and with Maxwell took the attack to the Indians. Maxwell too looked in good touch and he too smashed a fine 50 before getting out and helping Australia to get close to their score of the first innings. Indians were poor with the ball and on the field. Only Natarajan and Sundar had a decent outing with the ball for India. However, the total that the Aussies got to, was good enough for their bowlers in the end.

Bowling from Australia was better than what it was in the last game. They struck in the very first over. But the fielding from them was pretty much similar to that of the Indians. Swepson was pick of the bowlers as he got 3 wickets to his name, giving away just 23 in his 4 overs. Zampa just bowled 3 but got the massive wicket of Pandya. Abbott once again had a poor outing with the ball. Tye was pretty good in his 4-over spell, picking up the wicket of Kohli in that. Eventually, it was a decent outing for them as they managed to keep chipping away at wickets and in spite of good, attacking cricket form Pandya and Kohli towards the end, they held onto their nerves and managed to bag the first win of the series.

Chasing the total, India lost Rahul on the 2nd ball but of the chase but Dhawan along with Kohli added a 50-plus stand to keep the score ticking. Dhawan fell but Kohli continued and got to his half ton.  They were going along nicely but India lost 3 wickets quickly with Dhawan, Samson and Iyer falling in quick time. Kohli along with Pandya smashed a few out of the park but fell against Zampa in the 18th over. With him going, Kohli had to go after the bowling and he fell in the penultimate over and it was easy peasy after that for Australia.

A terrific game of cricket and it is Australia who hold their nerves and manage to avoid a whitewash in the hands of the Indians. With Indian losing quick wickets, it became tough towards the end and the Aussies managed to squeeze the game and put India under pressure and seal the deal. However, it is India who will take the series 2-1. But, it is slightly disappointing that India lose their first T20I game, in 2020.

    End of over 20 ( 14 Runs )

    IND 174/7

    Shardul Thakur* 17(7)

    Deepak Chahar 0(0)

    19.6

    Sean Abbott to Shardul Thakur

    2

2 runs, DROPPED! Well, the game ends with a catch being dropped. Pretty charecteristic of the fielding in the series itself. Short ball, Shardul Thakur pulls hard at it. It goes high in the air to the man at deep mid-wicket who spills the sitter. A couple taken by the team from South Asia. But it does not matter as the AUSTRALIANS WIN BY 12 RUNS! INDIA THOUGH, WIN THE T20I SERIES 2-1!

    19.5

    Sean Abbott to Shardul Thakur

    0

no run, Back of a length ball around off, Thakur looks to slog it on the leg side but he misses his connection. A dot ball. Australia cannot lose now.

    19.4

    Sean Abbott to Shardul Thakur

    2

2 runs, Short ball, Shardul pulls at it. It is uppish.... but lands ahead of the man at deep square leg. Just the 2 runs there. Thakur is disappointed with himself.

    19.3

    Sean Abbott to Shardul Thakur

    6

SIX, SIX! Shardul can strike all right. Low full toss on off and middle, Shardul picks it up and sends it soaring over wide long on for a maximum. 17 required from 3 balls now.

    Deepak Chahar is in now.

    19.2

    Sean Abbott to Washington Sundar

    W

out, OUT! CAUGHT! Sundar is gone. This match is going away from India. Full toss well outside off, would have been a wide had he left it. But Washington Sundar goes after it. He strikes it uppishly but Tye, at deep backward point, runs in and takes the catch.

    19.1

    Sean Abbott to Washington Sundar

    4

FOUR, FOUR! Good strike this on the off side. India still in the game. 23 still needed though. Outside off, Washington hops and hammers it over the covers. Sweeper cover gives chase but the ball is well wide of him and goes away to the fence.

Who will bowl the final over of the game? Will Finch toss the ball to his leggie again? Thakur can use the long handle well against him. Finch goes to his pacer. Sean Abbott it is. He hasn't had a greatest of game so far.

    End of over 19 ( 9 Runs )

    IND 160/6

    Shardul Thakur* 7(3)

    Washington Sundar 3(4)

    18.6

    Andrew Tye to Shardul Thakur

    6

SIX, SIX! 27 needed now in the last over. Full and on the stumps, Thakur powers that over deep square leg for a huge half a dozen. He can bat, Shardul Thakur. But the asking here is way too much.

    18.5

    Andrew Tye to Washington Sundar

    18.1

    Andrew Tye to Virat Kohli

    W

out, OUT! TAKEN! An outstanding catch from the seamer. Andrew Tye it is. Kohli goes. And so do India's chances. Full and outside off, Kohli comes down the track and strokes it uppishly towards deep point. Daniel, the man in the deep, takes a scintillating catch, diving to his left.

Who will bowl the penultimate over of the game? Andrew Tye it is.

    End of over 18 ( 7 Runs )

    IND 151/5

    Virat Kohli* 84(60)

    Washington Sundar 1(2)

    17.6

    Adam Zampa to Virat Kohli

    1b

1 run, WADE MISSES A STUMPING OPPORTUNITY! Kohli riding on a good deal of luck as well here. This was tossed up on the pads, Virat comes down the track and looks to slam it on the off side. He though misses to connect on that one. It comes off his pads, goes behind. Wade fumbles and a leg bye is sneaked in. Oh my goodness. How costly will that be!

    17.5

    Adam Zampa to Washington Sundar

    1

1 run, In the air.. but lands safely. A single. 150 up for India. Tossed up outside off, WS skips down and lofts it over the bowler's head. It falls safely ahead of the long off fielder. A single taken.

    17.4

    Adam Zampa to Washington Sundar

    0

no run, Tossed up outside off, Washington Sundar gets down and looks to slog sweep that one but he misses. Should look for the quick singles instead of such stuff.

    17.3

    Adam Zampa to Virat Kohli

    1

1 run, Full and outside off, driven through the covers for a single.

    17.2

    Adam Zampa to Virat Kohli

    4

FOUR, FOUR! The call was for two but Virat gets a boundary there. Full and around off, Kohli drives it firmly and uppishly over Zampa. Long on runs to his left but fails to cut it off.

The task gets tougher for the Indians. Here's Washington Sundar.

    17.1

    Adam Zampa to Hardik Pandya

    W

out, OUT! CAUGHT! Leading edge. This has been taken. Good captaincy from Finch. Full on middle and leg, Pandya's eyes lit up on seeing that. He looks to slog it over the leg side but gets a leading edge. It is uppish and goes straight into the hands of Aaron Finch at backward point. Aaron backtracks a little and takes it with ease.

5 wickets down for IND. Out batsman is Hardik Pandya

Who will bowl now? Will Finch give an over to Zampa? Yes, here it is. 2-0-14-0 from him so far.

    Andrew Tye to Hardik Pandya

    1

    1wd

wide, 1 run, WIDE! Andrew goes for a bumper but ends up overcooking it. Hardik lets it be.

    16.5

    Andrew Tye to Hardik Pandya

    6

SIX, SIX! WOW! Unbelievable. Length ball outside off, a check drive from Pandya. That was all. That was all. He ends up sending the ball over the bowler's head and for a half a dozen.

    16.4

    Andrew Tye to Hardik Pandya

    4

FOUR, FOUR! That was hit with power. Look at the force behind that strike. Outside off, Hardik Pandya hammers it through the covers for a boundary.

    16.3

    Andrew Tye to Hardik Pandya

    0

no run, Misses! Pandya is dismayed with himself there. Slower length ball outside off, he looked to hammer it over covers but misses.

    1

1 run, Very full and around off, glanced to the leg side for a single.

    16.1

    Andrew Tye to Virat Kohli

    0

no run, Kohli moves to the off side. The ball was wider of him, he lets it be. No wide called. Surprising. Maybe because he moved to the off side.

    1

1 run, A single. Around off, nudged through mid-wicket for one.

    13.5

    Sean Abbott to Virat Kohli

    6

SIX, SIX! Goes all the way. Brilliant shot from the Indian skipper. He moves left and right to confuse the bowler. It is a full ball outside off, Virat skips down the track and launches it over long off.

    13.4

    Sean Abbott to Hardik Pandya

    Shreyas Iyer* 0(1)

    Virat Kohli 56(45)

    12.6

    Mitchell Swepson to Shreyas Iyer

    W

out, OUT! LBW! Second wicket in the over and Iyer falls for a first-ball duck. Swepson strikes on his last ball of his spell. Lovely spell and he has turned the game around eally qucikly. A loopy googly from Swepson. Iyer doesn't read it well and tries to flick but he misses to get hit on the pad. They appeal and the umpire agrees quickly. Iyer has a word with his skipper. And they go for the review. No bat involved. Pitching in line and hitting the wickets. Keep walking Iyer and as he goes, takes a review along with him. 3/23 from Swepson is his 4. 87 needed in 7 overs.

3 wickets for Mitchell Swepson. Mitchell Swepson is on a roll.

Review time! It is for a lbw. Shreyas has opted to review the on-field LBW decision which was ruled against his favour. Nothing on Snicko. Then it might be tough for India to sustain the review as it looked plumb. And yes, Ball Tracker confirms that. THREE REDS! Review lost.

    12.5

    Mitchell Swepson to Virat Kohli

    1

1 run, Flatter and on middle, tucked towards the leg side for a qucik single. 100 up for the Indians. They need 87 more in 43 balls.

    100 runs for IND

Just checking to see if Smith has flicked that in cleanly. Or has he touched the ropes in the process. Nope... nicely done from Steven. No issues there.

    12.4

    Mitchell Swepson to Virat Kohli

    2

2 runs, WOW! What an effort from Smith. Sensational work from him. He just took a catch and now gets his Superman wings on to save two. Floated on middle, Kohli jumps out of his crease and powers it towards long on. It looked to be going over the fence but Smith times his jump to perfection, catches the ball but he knows he will land on the other side of the fence so he throws it back in. They check with the third umpire if it is a clean stop. They look at a few replays and deem it as a clean stop. Superman stuff from Smith.

Who's in now? Shreyas Iyer walks out to the middle.

    12.3

    Mitchell Swepson to Sanju Samson

    W

out, OUT! CAUGHT! Samson holes out. Swepson gets the 2nd wicket of the night. A low full toss, Samson looks to slog it over long on but he miscues it off the toe end of the bat. Smith there runs ahead and this time he takes the catch without any fuss. Samson throws away another opportunity.

3 wickets down for IND. Out batsman is Sanju Samson

    12.2

    Mitchell Swepson to Virat Kohli

    1

    Adam Zampa to Virat Kohli

    1

1 run, A single. Another 50 for the King. Shortish and around off, Virat taps this to the off side and takes a single. The task is still not finished though. And he knows that, not a great deal of celebration from him.

    1

1 run, Flatter and around off, bunted down to long on for a single.

    10.5

    Mitchell Swepson to Sanju Samson

    1

1 run, Edgy single. Flat and outside off, SS looks to cut but gets an outside edge. It goes to short third man and Men in Blue take a single.

A very late review from Finch. That looked to be going down to the naked eyes. Swepson wasn't too sure but Wade had a thing or two to say and Finch went with it. Let's see if they can get the wicket. No bat but impact is umpire's call and also the ball is not hitting the wicket. Australia lose their one of the two reviews.

    10.4

    Mitchell Swepson to Sanju Samson

    0

no run, NOT OUT! The correct decision from the on-field umpire. Tossed up on the pads, Sanju Samson gets down and looks to mow a huge slog sweep. He misses and gets hit on the pads. An appeal for LBW. But the umpire, Tucker, is unmoved. And just at the brink, Aaron Finch, after having  a chat with his players, takes a review. No bat but Ball Tracker says that it was missing the stumps. Mitchell himself thought it was going down leg as his side takes the review.
