Batting R B 4s 6s SR
Aiden Markram (C) c Hardik Pandya b Arshdeep Singh 4 7 0 0 57.14
2.4
Arshdeep Singh to Aiden Markram, OUT! TAKEN! Arshdeep Singh spreads his arms now. India's front-line pacers pick up the Proteas openers. Excellent start by India. Singh pushes in a fuller delivery, outside off, angled across the batter. Aiden Markram tries to lift it away, but the angle is against him. He fails to get the elevation. Aiden hits it straight to mid off, where Hardik Pandya holds onto it.
Quinton de Kock (W) b Jasprit Bumrah 6 7 1 0 85.71
1.5
Jasprit Bumrah to Quinton de Kock, OUT! TIMBER! Jasprit Bumrah spreads his arms in the air as he picks up the opening wicket. Just a fraction shorter than a good length, attacking the stumps. The ball lands and nips back in. Quinton de Kock is rooted in his crease as he swings across the line but fails to connect. The ball zips past the inside edge and clips the top of the leg pole. Quinton de Kock will be disappointed with his shot selection.
Ryan Rickelton c Shivam Dube b Jasprit Bumrah 7 7 0 1 100
3.6
Jasprit Bumrah to Ryan Rickelton, OUT! GONE! Another one bites the dust! Slower delivery? Oh, yes, Jasprit Bumrah does it with the off-cutter. Serves it full, and on middle and off. Rickelton is undone by the slowness of the delivery as he gets forward to push, but instead chips it straight to mid off. Shivam Dube bends forward and holds onto it. So hard for any batter to pick the slowness of the delivery. Ryan Rickelton is the latest victim of Bumrah's mastery.
Dewald Brevis c Abhishek Sharma b Shivam Dube 45 29 3 3 155.17
12.2
Shivam Dube to Dewald Brevis, OUT! GONE! Dewald Brevis knew it straightaway that he had mistimed it. Dube bangs a shorter delivery, outside off, at 123 clicks. Brevis forces his pull shot across but gets a thick top edge to deep mid-wicket. High in the night sky but not far away. Abhishek Sharma runs in from the deep and holds onto it safely near his chest. The 97-run partnership has been broken and India will look to cash in now.
David Miller c Tilak Varma b Varun Chakaravarthy 63 35 7 3 180
15.4
Varun Chakaravarthy to David Miller, OUT! TAKEN! Varun Chakaravarthy might have gone for runs, but he picks up the wicket of the set-batter. An important wicket in the context of the game. Varun bowls the wrong 'un, across the batter and wide as well. Miller is rooted in his crease as he tries to clear long off but fails to hit off the middle. Tilak Varma at long off takes it with ease. End of a fine knock from Miller, but South Africa would have loved him to be out there till the very end.
Tristan Stubbs not out 44 24 1 3 183.33
Marco Jansen c Rinku Singh b Arshdeep Singh 2 6 0 0 33.33
17.2
Arshdeep Singh to Marco Jansen, OUT! CAUGHT! Swung away but straight to the man in the deep. Arshdeep Singh changes the angle by coming around the wicket. Bowls it into the pitch and a bit slower, angling it into the right-hander. Marco Jansen leans back to pull but doesn't get the desired connection. The ball sails over mid-wicket and straight down the throat of Rinku Singh in the deep, and he makes no mistake. India pulling things back at the death.
Corbin Bosch c & b Jasprit Bumrah 5 6 1 0 83.33
18.5
Jasprit Bumrah to Corbin Bosch, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Yorker-length delivery, lands right on the popping crease in front of middle stump. Corbin Bosch takes out the front leg and jams it back to the bowler, who pouches the ball by sticking out his right hand and starts walking back to his mark. Seems to have been a bump-ball but the Indians are asking the question and the on-field umpires have gone upstairs to check. Oh, seems to be right off the bat and the third umpire confirms the same. Bosch has to walk back as Bumrah gets his third wicket. 33rd T20 World Cup wicket for Bumrah. With this, he now has the most wickets for India in T20 World Cups.

Batting R B 4s 6s SR
Ishan Kishan (W) c Ryan Rickelton b Aiden Markram 0 4 0 0 0
0.4
Aiden Markram to Ishan Kishan, OUT! TAKEN! It's Kishan who departs on a duck this time! Indian openers are yet to give a breakthrough opening stand this tournament. Nicely tossed up, around off, turning slightly away. Kishan gets on his knee to slog but gets a top edge. Pretty high in the air but not far away. Ryan Rickelton, inside the ring, tracks back at cover and holds onto the skier.
Abhishek Sharma c Corbin Bosch b Marco Jansen 15 12 2 1 125
4.3
Marco Jansen to Abhishek Sharma, OUT! CAUGHT! Two fielders bump into each other, but Corbin Bosch holds onto it. A massive wicket for South Africa. This is the knuckleball from Jansen, full and on middle. Abhishek does not pick the variation. He clears the front leg and has a swipe across the line. Skies it off the toe end of the blade over wide mid on. Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj go after it from mid-wicket and mid on, respectively, and there is no communication between the two men. Maharaj just about withdraws himself but cannot avoid colliding with Bosch. Corbin stretches his hands out in front and the ball hits him near the wrist but he holds onto it near his chest. Keshav falls on the back of Bosch but the latter is not put off by that and he grabs hold of the ball.
Tilak Varma c Quinton de Kock b Marco Jansen 1 2 0 0 50
1.1
Marco Jansen to Tilak Varma, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! South Africa celebrates as Varma nicks one behind, but he is not sure. Varma takes it upstairs. There was a sound as the ball passed the blade. UltraEdge loads and shows a big spike. Not sure why Tilak Varma reviewed that one. Marco Jansen steams in and serves it into the surface, touch fuller and gets it to bounce off the deck, outside off. Tilak Varma charges down the track and tries to push away from his body and edges it to the keeper. Quinton de Kock pouches it safely.
Suryakumar Yadav (C) c Dewald Brevis b Corbin Bosch 18 22 2 0 81.82
9.1
Corbin Bosch to Suryakumar Yadav, OUT! CAUGHT! Oh, a lucky breakthrough for the bowler. Corbin Bosch bashes the hard length now and angles it into the batter. SKY hangs back and swivels around to whip it behind square leg, but ends up getting it off the cue end of the blade. The ball lobs up to the right of mid-wicket, where Dewald Brevis moves across and snaffles it with both hands. 137 needed now off 65 balls.
Washington Sundar c Quinton de Kock b Corbin Bosch 11 11 0 1 100
7.2
Corbin Bosch to Washington Sundar, OUT! CAUGHT! Instant impact from Corbin Bosch. Pushed across the left-hander from over the wicket, on a back of a length. Sundar clears the front leg and throws his hands at the ball. The ball leaves him with the angle and grazes the outside edge. The keeper, Quinton de Kock, gobbles it up. India are now 4 down for 43, needing 145 runs in 76 balls.
Shivam Dube c Lungi Ngidi b Marco Jansen 42 37 1 3 113.51
18.4
Marco Jansen to Shivam Dube, OUT! CAUGHT! Wicket number 3 for Marco Jansen. Knuckleball from Jansen, on a back of a length, on middle and leg. Dube swivels to get the pull away but he picks out Ngidi at short fine leg. Lungi does not have to move an inch, and he takes a sharp catch around his waist. No celebration from Marco. He just turns around and walks back to his mark. Dube's vigil comes to an end.
Hardik Pandya c Tristan Stubbs b Keshav Maharaj 18 17 0 1 105.88
14.1
Keshav Maharaj to Hardik Pandya, OUT! TAKEN! A wicket is always on the cards with the pressure building. Fractionally short, outside off, into the surface and turning slightly away. Hardik Pandya tries to lift it away off the back foot but fails to get enough distance. Gets it high and to long off where Tristan Stubbs holds onto it near the fence after moving to his left. He realises that the momentum will take him over the ropes. He quickly releases the ball, comes back and holds onto it.
Rinku Singh c Tristan Stubbs b Keshav Maharaj 0 2 0 0 0
14.3
Keshav Maharaj to Rinku Singh, OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust and South Africa are putting on a show here. Keshav Maharaj drags the length short and angles it across the off stump. Rinku Singh goes deep in the crease and looks to put the pressure back on the bowler with a straight pull but gets the timing all wrong. The ball travels flat and to the right of long on, where Tristan Stubbs takes another catch, a much simpler one this time and Rinku goes for a two-ball duck.
Arshdeep Singh c Tristan Stubbs b Keshav Maharaj 1 2 0 0 50
14.6
Keshav Maharaj to Arshdeep Singh, OUT! TAKEN! Tristan Stubbs does it again! Maharaj loops up a length delivery in line of the stumps. Arshdeep Singh powers it down to long on but does not get the desired elevation, even though there was plenty of power on the shot. Tristan Stubbs in the deep runs to his right to take the catch but since it's hit with a lot of power, the fielder has to adjust his balance. He catches the ball, lobs it over as he jumps over the fence and comes back to complete the catch.
Varun Chakaravarthy not out 0 3 0 0 0
Jasprit Bumrah c Aiden Markram b Marco Jansen 0 1 0 0 0
18.5
Marco Jansen to Jasprit Bumrah, OUT! TAKEN! A thumping win for South Africa by 76 runs. Pace taken off, full and pushed across the right-hander, Bumrah extends his hands into the lofted drive. Gets it right off the toe end of the blade, and it is spooned to extra cover, where Aiden Markram circles under it on the edge of the ring and makes no mistake. Two in two for Jansen to complete a statement win for the Proteas.
