Quinton de Kock (W) c & b Kagiso Rabada 13 11 1 1 118.18
3.3
Kagiso Rabada to Quinton de Kock, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Kagiso Rabada wins the all-Protea battle. He bangs this into the pitch, just around off at 149.7 kph. Quinton de Kock opens up his body for the pull shot but gets rushed and the ball gets big on him. It takes the top edge and goes up in the air. Rabada calls for it, runs to his right, beside the strip on the off side and takes a dolly. Mumbai Indians are 25/2 now.
Danish Malewar lbw b Kagiso Rabada 2 4 0 0 50
1.5
Kagiso Rabada to Danish Malewar, OUT! LBW! Kagiso Rabada draws first blood. A very short debut for Danish Malewar. This one is bowled a bit fuller, on off, nipping back in. Malewar gets stuck in his crease and looks to clip it across the line, but fails to read the movement and gets hit on the pads right in front of the stumps. There is a big shout for LBW, and up goes the finger without any hesitation. Danish does not even bother talking with his partner for the review as this is plumb in front. Early blow to MI.
Naman Dhir c Kagiso Rabada b Prasidh Krishna 45 32 6 1 140.63
12.3
Prasidh Krishna to Naman Dhir, OUT! CAUGHT! Prasidh Krishna breaks a budding stand. Exactly what he was called back for. Krishna bends his back and digs it in short at the bodyline of the batter. Gets it high enough to trouble the batter but Dhir tries to take it on. He fails to get on top of it and the ball flies off the top edge to deep square leg, where Kagiso Rabada runs in off the ropes and at the end, he has to reach out in front to take a low catch. The 52-run stand has been broken.
Suryakumar Yadav b Kagiso Rabada 15 10 1 1 150
5.5
Kagiso Rabada to Suryakumar Yadav, OUT! BOWLED'EM! Kagiso Rabada produces an absolute peach of a delivery. He lands this one fuller and on off, at 152.1 kph, getting it to jag back in sharply as well. Suryakumar Yadav looks to hit through the line, eyeing the straight boundary, but ends up playing all over it, getting beaten by both pace and movement. He leaves a huge gap between bat and pad, as the ball sneaks past the inside edge and shatters the stumps behind. MI are three down inside the Powerplay.
Tilak Varma not out 101 45 8 7 224.44
Hardik Pandya (C) c Glenn Phillips b Mohammed Siraj 15 16 1 0 93.75
18.5
Mohammed Siraj to Hardik Pandya, OUT! CAUGHT! Hardik Pandya holes out. A scratchy stay for the MI skipper. Siraj attempts the yorker but it comes out as a low full toss, on middle. Pandya gets the front leg out of the way and hangs low to swing it across the line. Gets it low on the bat and he does not get the timing on the shot. Glenn Phillips moves swiftly to his right at deep mid-wicket and takes a low catch.
Sherfane Rutherford not out 1 2 0 0 50

Batting R B 4s 6s SR
Sai Sudharsan c Krish Bhagat b Jasprit Bumrah 0 1 0 0 0
0.1
Jasprit Bumrah to Sai Sudharsan, OUT! CAUGHT! What a start for the Mumbai Indians. Jasprit Bumrah strikes with his first ball and the drought is over. First wicket of the season for Bumrah, yes, you read that right. Shaping away from the left-hander, full in length. Sudharsan pushes out in front of his body with hard hands. The ball leaves him and the bat turns in Sai's hands. It balloons to cover, where Krish Bhagat takes the catch in reverse cup style over his left shoulder on the edge of the ring.
Shubman Gill (C) c Naman Dhir b Ashwani Kumar 14 13 3 0 107.69
4.4
Ashwani Kumar to Shubman Gill, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! Ashwani Kumar gets the big fish. Talk about making an impact as an Impact Sub. Kumar hits the deck and gets a bit of lift off the surface, on a short of a good length, on middle and leg. Gill is tucked up for room and cannot get his hands through the ball in the desired fashion for the pull. Ends up jabbing at it and he fails to get on top of the bounce. Gets a top edge and it flies straight down the throat of deep square leg, where Naman Dhir makes no mistake. Shubman knew it straight away, and he admonished himself as soon as the ball went up.
Jos Buttler (W) lbw b Hardik Pandya 5 6 1 0 83.33
1.2
Hardik Pandya to Jos Buttler, OUT! LBW! Hardik Pandya also strikes in the first over. A decision that could have gone either way, but it goes in MI's favour, and GT have been rocked early. Bowled from wide of the crease by Hardik. This swings back into the right-hander, on a good length, on leg. Buttler hops to flick it away but is beaten on the inside edge and wears it on the front pad. Rapped on the pads and the finger is raised. Jos Buttler has a chat with his partner at the other end and goes for the review. No bat involved but the Ball Tracking comes up as umpire's call with the ball clipping the top of the leg pole. Jos throws his head back as he watches the replay on the big screen. The on-field decision has been upheld. GT are 5/2, chasing 200.
Washington Sundar c Naman Dhir b Mitchell Santner 26 17 5 0 152.94
7.2
Mitchell Santner to Washington Sundar, OUT! SUPERB GRAB IN THE DEEP! Mitchell Santner strikes with his second ball. Not a wicket-taking delivery as he drags this one down, on middle. Washington Sundar opens up his stance and pulls it away. He connects well, and it flies towards the deep mid-wicket fence. It looks to be going over, but Naman Dhir near the ropes times his leap to perfection, grabbing the ball above his head while being airborne. He does well to keep his feet inside after landing. Hardik Pandya is all smiles, and MI are on top here.
Glenn Phillips c & b Mitchell Santner 6 8 0 0 75
7.4
Mitchell Santner to Glenn Phillips, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Mitchell Santner with the double strike. He bowls this slower through the air, shortish and on off, holds up in the surface. Glenn Phillips moves back and looks to pat it down the ground, but goes through the shot a bit early. He ends up just lobbing it tamely wide of the bowler, where Santner dives to his right on the follow-through and takes a sharp return catch just inches above the ground. GT are reeling at 55/5, chasing 200 runs.
Rahul Tewatia c Quinton de Kock b Ashwani Kumar 8 11 1 0 72.73
10.6
Ashwani Kumar to Rahul Tewatia, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Wicket number 2 for MI's Impact Sub. GT suffer another dent in the chase. Seam-up ball, on a good length, in the corridor of uncertainty. With third man inside the circle, Tewatia looks to use the pace of the ball and glide it past short third with an open bat face. The ball grazes the outside edge and the keeper, Quinton de Kock takes a safe catch to his left.
Shahrukh Khan c Naman Dhir b Ashwani Kumar 17 13 1 1 130.77
12.6
Ashwani Kumar to Shahrukh Khan, OUT! TAKEN! The night just keeps getting better for Ashwani Kumar. If there was any hope left for the Titans, this should be it. Ashwani dishes out the short ball and gets it high enough to trouble the batter. It is at the bodyline of the batter and Shahrukh Khan swivels for the pull. He is rushed and the ball gets big on him. It goes straight down the throat of deep backward square leg, where Naman Dhir gobbles it up. Third catch of the night for Dhir and it is wicket number four for Ashwani.
Rashid Khan c sub Raj Bawa b Ashwani Kumar 4 6 0 0 66.67
12.2
Ashwani Kumar to Rashid Khan, OUT! CAUGHT! Three wickets in as many overs for Ashwani Kumar. Kumar hits the deck hard, over middle and leg. Rashid premeditatively shimmies down the track but is cramped for room. He still swings at it. Gets it high on the bat and spoons it to cover, where the sub fielder, Raj Bawa moves to his left and takes the catch over his head.
Kagiso Rabada st Quinton de Kock b AM Ghazanfar 12 14 2 0 85.71
15.2
AM Ghazanfar to Kagiso Rabada, OUT! STUMPED! AM Ghazanfar gets a wicket now. He once again gives it a flick with his middle finger, lands this short and on middle, turning in sharply. Kagiso Rabada skips down the track but gets nowhere near the ball. He still goes for the big heave across the line and misses it, with Quinton de Kock doing the rest behind the stumps.
Ashok Sharma not out 1 3 0 0 33.33
Mohammed Siraj lbw b AM Ghazanfar 0 3 0 0 0
15.5
AM Ghazanfar to Mohammed Siraj, OUT! LBW! Mumbai Indians win by 99 runs. AM Ghazanfar wraps things up here, or does he? Mohammed Siraj has taken the review here, but if there is no bat involved, this looks plumb. The on-field call is Out. This is tossed up, full and on middle, turns in a bit. Mohammed Siraj goes down for the sweep but misses it completely, getting hit on the pads right in front of the stumps. UltraEdge confirms no bat involved and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds, with the ball crashing into the middle stump.
