He gets down on one knee to play the slog sweep but does not get it from the middle of the bat. He ends up getting a lot more height than distance on the shot. The ball flies miles in the air towards deep mid-wicket, where Cooper Connolly settles under the high ball and takes a fine catch. Gujarat Titans are 83/2 now.

He gets it from the inside half of the bat, but the ball still looks to be clearing the fence. However, Xavier Bartlett had other ideas at long on. He settles himself and times his leap to perfection and plucks it out of thin air. Buttler cannot believe it and looks at the heavens in disappointment. Glenn Phillips clears the front foot to create room and tries to pump it over the long off fence, but gets no timing on this one whatsoever and ends up airing it off the toe end. It sails straight towards Jansen, stationed there. He ain't dropping those and GT are 119/3 down now.

He fails to get the timing and ends up hitting it straight to deep mid-wicket, where Washington Sundar makes no mistake. Iyer is absolutely livid with himself but has to walk back now.
