Imran Butt c Quinton de Kock b Keshav Maharaj 15 36 3 0 41.67
11.1
Keshav Maharaj to Imran Butt, OUT! CAUGHT! Maharaj has struck and Butt does not survive this one. Great bowling by Maharaj and he breaks this opening stand. He has looked good so far and now he is rewarded with a wicket. Flighted and around off, spins away after hitting the deck as Butt comes forward looking for the defensive push. He is not able to do so and only induces a thin outside edge. It goes towards de Kock who does not miss out. An appeal and the umpire agrees raising his finger.
Abid Ali c Aiden Markram b Anrich Nortje 6 43 1 0 13.95
14.5
Anrich Nortje to Abid Ali, OUT! TAKEN! What a catch by Markram by short leg. Reflexes had to really quick and Aiden has pulled off a stunner. Takes a one-hander as well. Abid Ali departs now and South Africa are on fire. Three quick wickets right in the first session. A back of a length delivery on middle, Ali hops and looks to tuck this one to the leg side. He does so and the ball goes to the right of the short leg fielder where Markram is stationed. He shows quick reflexes and moves to his right and pulls off a one-hand stunner. Another one falls and Pakistan are in a spot of bother now.
Azhar Ali lbw b Keshav Maharaj 0 9 0 0 0
13.4
Keshav Maharaj to Azhar Ali, OUT! LBW! Azhar Ali goes back now for a duck and Maharaj is on fire. The decision to bring him on very early in the innings is turning out to be a masterstroke by de Kock. Keshav floats one up nicely and lands it around off and middle, Azhar Ali comes on his front foot and looks to fend this one out but is not able to do so. The ball raps him on the pads. The South African players appeal loudly and the umpire obliges raising his finger. Azhar Ali looks at his partner, does not seem too convinced that the review will save him and then just turns around and walks off. Double blow for the hosts now.
Babar Azam (C) c Faf du Plessis b Anrich Nortje 77 127 12 0 60.63
58.2
Anrich Nortje to Babar Azam, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! That is a sharp catch from Faf but what a start for South Africa! They just could not have wished for anything better. Azam gone on the second ball of the day. The stand which was looking so threatening for the visitors has been broken. That is a loose, loose stroke from Azam. Yes, he was batting in his 70s but this is a new day and you need to be a little cautious especially at the start of a new day. It is a nothing delivery. It is short and wide outside off. Azam slashes at it away from the body. It flies off the outside edge towards second slip where Faf takes a good catch. Can South Africa now build on this one?
Fawad Alam run out (Temba Bavuma) 45 155 5 0 29.03
63.4
Kagiso Rabada to Fawad Alam, OUT! RUN OUT! Temba Bavuma, you beauty! We are just inside 30 minutes of Day 2 and the face of this Test has changed dramatically. A short ball, around off, angling away, Alam pushes it towards cover and sets off for a single. Bavuma quickly gets to his left from point, picks the ball up and has a shy at the bowler's end. Bull's eye! Fawad dives in but the Proteas celebrate. It is referred upstairs and replays confirm the worst for Alam. Both set batsmen gone! Coach Misbah-ul-Haq in the dressing room is not happy at all. Sensational fielding.
Mohammad Rizwan (W) c Kagiso Rabada b Anrich Nortje 18 68 2 0 26.47
82.3
Anrich Nortje to Mohammad Rizwan, OUT! TAKEN! The second new ball breaks the stand that was looking really good! A good short one from Nortje. It gets big on Rizwan who tries to pull. The top edge is induced and it goes towards fine leg. Rabada initially misjudged it but then hangs onto it. Into the bowling all-rounders now are South Africa.
Faheem Ashraf not out 78 160 12 0 48.75
Hasan Ali c Dean Elgar b Keshav Maharaj 8 29 0 0 27.59
93.2
Keshav Maharaj to Hasan Ali, OUT! CAUGHT AT SLIP! Well, not a big mistake from Hasan, but he will say - 'See, I looked to defend and I got out.' Beautiful ball from Maharaj. He has toiled hard. Lands this around off, just short of full, Ali looks to defend. But the ball pitches, then bounces and spins away as well. The outside edge is induced and a sharp catch is taken by Dean Elgar at slip, moving quickly to his left. Perfect left-arm spinner's dismissal. Maharaj has his third.
Yasir Shah c & b Wiaan Mulder 8 27 1 0 29.63
102.4
Wiaan Mulder to Yasir Shah, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Mulder gets his first wicket! Good length delivery on middle, Shah drives it uppishly towards the bowler where Mulder takes a very good low catch.
Nauman Ali c Aiden Markram b Anrich Nortje 8 36 1 0 22.22
114.1
Anrich Nortje to Nauman Ali, OUT! CAUGHT AT SHORT LEG! Nauman goes. Nortje gets 4. A sharp short ball, right at the head, keeping on climbing, Nauman looks to fend but the ball gets too big on him. Hits the face of the bat and lobs in the air, for a simple catch to short leg. Aiden Markram completes the formalities.
Shaheen Afridi c Dean Elgar b Anrich Nortje 0 2 0 0 0
114.3
Anrich Nortje to Shaheen Afridi, OUT! CAUGHT AT SILLY POINT! Nortje has a 5-fer. A short ball, around middle, Afridi looks to duck but the ball goes off something to silly point. The South Africans celebrate, but the umpire does not raise his finger. Now, they turn back and appeal and up goes Aleem Dar's finger. Well, the rule states that you need to appeal and then the umpire will respond. PAKISTAN RESTRICTED TO 272!

Dean Elgar c Mohammad Rizwan b Hasan Ali 15 21 3 0 71.43
5.5
Hasan Ali to Dean Elgar, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! The around-the-wicket angle works for Hasan. He was probing, probing, probing and eventually gets his reward. The line is full and outside off, shaping the ball away. The intention is to make Elgar reach out for the ball. From the straight angle, it seems like an unnecessary shot. But looking at it from Elgar's point of view, he has to play at it, because he is not sure whether the ball will come in or go away. No feet movement and the outside edge is taken this time. Easy catch for Mohammad Rizwan.
Aiden Markram c Shaheen Afridi b Nauman Ali 32 60 5 0 53.33
23.6
Nauman Ali to Aiden Markram, OUT! CAUGHT! Markram has been outsmarted. Nauman bowls this from around the wicket, with a very wide angle. That perhaps puts a doubt in Markram's mind, that this could be an arm ball. He sees the length short and looks to pull. But then, the ball turns. To his horror, it takes the top edge and balloons in the air. Shaheen Afridi at mid on runs across to his right and takes the catch. Markram will be gutted. The Proteas in a mire now, trailing by 191.
Rassie van der Dussen b Hasan Ali 0 1 0 0 0
5.6
Hasan Ali to Rassie van der Dussen, OUT! BOWLED! Two in two for Hasan Ali and he is pumped up! Pakistan are all over the moon. They were wayward in this 30-minute mini session but it has taken them two balls to be right on top. Full and straight, around off, van der Dussen looks to defend but the ball pitches, straightens and then shoots low. Beats the defensive prod and knocks the off stump out of the ground! Rassie walks back dejected and the umpires have a look at the clock. They feel there isn't time left for the new man to come. So TEA IT IS ON DAY 2, SOUTH AFRICA TRAIL BY 246!
Faf du Plessis c Mohammad Rizwan b Faheem Ashraf 17 33 3 0 51.52
14.3
Faheem Ashraf to Faf du Plessis, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Faheem gets the big wicket of Faf du Plessis. A pretty harmless delivery, on a length, outside off, Faf just looks to punch it through the line, without moving his feet. Gets a thick outside edge and Mohammad Rizwan does the rest. South Africa still trail by 217.
Temba Bavuma not out 44 138 5 0 31.88
Quinton de Kock (C) (W) b Shaheen Afridi 29 20 5 0 145
30.3
Shaheen Afridi to Quinton de Kock, OUT! BOWLED! Afridi gets his first wicket and South Africa have lost half their side! Full delivery on off, de Kock looks to drive but gets an inside edge and gets bowled.
Wiaan Mulder run out (Shaheen Afridi / Mohammad Rizwan) 33 83 3 1 39.76
53.1
Hasan Ali to Wiaan Mulder, OUT! RUN OUT! Mulder departs! Length delivery on middle, Mulder flicks it towards fine leg. The batsmen take a single and go for the second. Shaheen Afridi picks the ball and throws it at the keeper's end where Rizwan takes the bails off. Replays show that Mulder was well short of his crease. It was an excellent throw from Shaheen Afridi.
George Linde b Hasan Ali 21 21 3 1 100
57.5
Hasan Ali to George Linde, OUT! BOWLED! Hasan Ali gets his third wicket! Good length delivery on off, Linde looks to defend but misses it and gets bowled.
Keshav Maharaj b Hasan Ali 1 15 0 0 6.67
61.6
Hasan Ali to Keshav Maharaj, OUT! TIMBER! WOAHHHHH! What a delivery. The fourth wicket for Hasan Ali. Uproots the middle stump and Ali is a happy man. Rizwan comes across and gives him a hug. Ali steams in and hurls across a good length ball on off and middle, Maharaj looks to tuck this one to the leg side but there is a huge gap between bat and pad this time. He misses and the ball goes onto rattle the middle pole. Brilliant bowling by Ali.
Kagiso Rabada run out (Abid Ali) 0 10 0 0 0
65.3
Hasan Ali to Temba Bavuma, OUT! RUN OUT! Brilliant throw from Abid Ali! Very ordinary running from the South Africans and this is the second run out in the innings as well. On a good length and around off, Bavuma taps this one to the cover region and wants a quick single. Abid Ali is quick to run in and have a shy at the batter's end and he hits bullseye. Rabada was the man running in. The umpire thinks that this is out but wants the third umpire to confirm the same. Replays roll in and the third umpire completes the formality. South Africa are 9 wickets down now.
Anrich Nortje b Hasan Ali 0 1 0 0 0
65.4
Hasan Ali to Anrich Nortje, OUT! TIMBER! That reverse swing coming back in has ensured that Nortje goes back for a duck. Hasan Ali also gets a 5-fer and he is absolutely ecstatic. He bowls a good length ball just outside the off pole, Nortje raises his blade and thinks about letting this one through to the keeper. He, though does not anticipate the ball to come back in. It tails in and goes onto clip the top of the off pole. Timber. SOUTH AFRICA END WITH 201! SOUTH AFRICA ALSO TRAIL BY 71 RUNS!

Imran Butt lbw b Kagiso Rabada 0 13 0 0 0
4.1
Kagiso Rabada to Imran Butt, OUT! LBW! There it is! The pressure was building too much and something was bound to give. Rabada bowls a wonderful delivery and Pakistan lose their first wicket, without registering a single run on the board. Rabada steams in and hurls across a delivery which is just behind the good length area. Lands it around off and gets it to tail back in ever-so-slightly. Butt misses his tuck away to the leg side and gets rapped on the pads. Rabada believes and so do the South African players. The umpire obliges and gets his finger up. Butt does not opt for the review as he knows this one was plumb. Just the start that the Saffas were looking for.
Abid Ali c Quinton de Kock b Keshav Maharaj 13 53 1 0 24.53
16.2
Keshav Maharaj to Abid Ali, OUT! CAUGHT! Strangled down the leg side now. Abid Ali looks to sweep this one to the leg side but in doing so, he loses his wicket. He was going at a very slow rate and he took long to score his first run as well and his uncomfortable stay out in the middle has been ended by Maharaj. This is floated up nicely just around the leg pole, Abid Ali gets low and looks to sweep this one but the ball bounces a tad bit more and takes the glove and goes to de Kock, who gobbles this chance up. Abid Ali does not opt for the review as he has gloved this one.
Azhar Ali lbw b George Linde 33 82 3 0 40.24
31.2
George Linde to Azhar Ali, OUT! LBW! Linde strikes this time and it is the big wicket of Azhar Ali. There was a loud appeal and the umpire agreed straightaway. Flighted and around off and middle, Azhar Ali prods forward and looks to block this one out but the ball was a straight one and he was playing for the spin. He misses and gets rapped on the pads. The umpire agrees as well. Azhar comes down and has a chat with his partner. He finally decides that the review will be required. Ultra Edge is not needed as there is a clear distance between bat and ball. Ball Tracker comes in and...THREE REDS! Pakistan lose a review and Ali walks back. South Africa are on top at the moment. The hosts are leading by 134 runs with 6 wickets remaining.
Babar Azam (C) lbw b Keshav Maharaj 8 17 1 0 47.06
22.4
Keshav Maharaj to Babar Azam, OUT! LBW! Maharaj gets his second wicket and this is also the big, big scalp of the Pakistani skipper now! Floated delivery on middle, Azam looks to defend and thinks that the ball will spin away and plays the bat, keeping this in mind but this is the straighter one from Maharaj. He misses and gets hit on the pads. The bowler appeals for lbw and the umpire raises his finger. Babar does not bother to review it and this proves to be a good decision as replays later on show that this one was plumb. A brilliant start to the final session for South Africa.
Fawad Alam c Aiden Markram b George Linde 12 33 2 0 36.36
35.1
George Linde to Fawad Alam, OUT! CAUGHT! Alam walks and Markram takes a very good catch and Pakistan lose their 5th wicket. South Africa have struck right after the Drinks break as well. Could be a lapse in concentration from Alam. Tossed up and around off, Alam looks to tuck this one away but the ball takes a thin inside edge, hits him on the pads and then lobs towards short leg, where it hits Markram on the body and then Aiden holds on. South Africa are on a roll at the moment.
Mohammad Rizwan (W) not out 115 204 15 0 56.37
Faheem Ashraf c Anrich Nortje b George Linde 29 49 5 0 59.18
49.3
George Linde to Faheem Ashraf, OUT! CAUGHT! A loose shot from Faheem and Pakistan lose one more wicket right towards the end of the Day's play. Linde gets his third wicket of the day and he has been bowling absolutely wonderfully in this innings. Linde bowls this one full and wide, inviting Ashraf to go for the drive which he accepts. This though turned out to be the reason of his downfall as the ball took the outer half of the blade and goes towards Nortje at backward point and he takes this one nicely. Pakistan lead by 199 runs now.
Hasan Ali lbw b Keshav Maharaj 5 18 1 0 27.78
56.1
Keshav Maharaj to Hasan Ali, OUT! LBW! Hasan Ali is gone and the review does not help him. The arm ball, pitched around off, Hasan looked to sweep but missed and was hit on the pads. It looked straight and the umpirer raised his finger almost immediately on the appeal. Hasan had a word with his partner and then signalled for the review. Ball Tracker showed the ball to be clipping leg stump, so the review is retained but the wicket isn't.
Yasir Shah c Quinton de Kock b George Linde 23 57 3 0 40.35
73.5
George Linde to Yasir Shah, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! The 53-run stand is finally broken. Two people will be very much disappointed with the shot and result. Yasir himself and Mohammad Rizwan. All throughout the morning, Rizwan has been telling Yasir to be careful with the cut shot. But from Yasir's point of view, this was a loose ball. Short and outside off, there to be cut. He looks to do so but only manages to get a thick outside edge to Quinton de Kock. There is barely an appeal and Shah walks off. End of a crucial contribution. Pakistan lead by 267. Linde has 4 now.
Nauman Ali c Dean Elgar b Kagiso Rabada 45 78 6 2 57.69
98.5
Kagiso Rabada to Nauman Ali, OUT! TAKEN! Heartbreak for Nauman as he falls 5 short of his first half ton! He deserved it. Showed great character but is done in by the short ball ploy. He looks to pull again but gets a top edge. It seems like it would land safe in the mid-wicket region but Elgar there runs in, dives and takes a good catch. Can they now take the last wicket quickly?
Shaheen Afridi b George Linde 4 10 1 0 40
101.6
George Linde to Shaheen Afridi, OUT! AFRIDI HAS BEEN CASTLED!  FIFER FOR LINDE! First in Tests and that is exactly what he was got on for. One wicket left and he was given an opportunity to pick it and he gets it. The arm ball on off, this does not turn. Afridi goes back and plays for the turn into him. It beats the outsied edge and clips the bail of the off pole. Afridi is waiting there. The umpire takes it upstairs to check but replays show it is fine! PAKISTAN HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 298!

Aiden Markram c Imran Butt b Hasan Ali 108 243 13 3 44.44
81.1
Hasan Ali to Aiden Markram, OUT! CAUGHT! Hasan Ali does it again for Pakistan! He gets his third and sends Markram back to the hut. Loose shot from Markram and he is annoyed with himself. But end of a very fine knock from Aiden Markram. Hasan bowls a good length ball around off, it moves away after pitching. Markram could have left this ball alone but deceides to have a poke at it. It takes the outside edge and goes towards second slip where Imran Butt takes a simple catch. This is the opening that Pakistan needed. 129 more needed.
Dean Elgar c Mohammad Rizwan b Shaheen Afridi 17 24 4 0 70.83
8.2
Shaheen Afridi to Dean Elgar, OUT! CAUGHT BY THE KEEPER! Afridi gets Elgar again. A nothing shot in the end. On a length, outside off, Elgar reaches out, pushes at it and only gets a thick outside edge to Rizwan. No feet movement, could have left the ball alone but the angle played tricks in his mind.
Rassie van der Dussen b Hasan Ali 48 97 8 0 49.48
41.3
Hasan Ali to Rassie van der Dussen, OUT! TIMBER! Right through his defense and this is almost an action replay of how Rassie van der Dussen was dismissed in the first innings. This though comes back in late. A gem of a delivery. This one is slightly fuller, it comes back in late. Rassie looks to defend but the ball sneaks through between the gap of bat and pad and knocks the leg pole over. Pakistan could not have hoped for a better start. South Africa on the back foot early on Day 5.
Faf du Plessis lbw b Hasan Ali 5 13 1 0 38.46
45.5
Hasan Ali to Faf du Plessis, OUT! Three reds and Faf needs to continue his walk back! His poor show in this series continues and Hasan Ali continues to impress. South Africa in big, big trouble now. They have lost two in the little overs bowled today. Once again the inswinger does the trick for Hasan. This lands on off and then jags back in sharply. Faf goes back and tries to block but does so outside the line. The ball beats the inside edge and hits the pad. An appeal and the finger is raised. Faf reviews and indicates that it has hit him above the knee roll so he probably feels it is going over. That is not the case though as it is crashing into the middle pole. He also takes a review along with him. Pakistan 7 wickets away now.
Temba Bavuma c Mohammad Rizwan b Shaheen Afridi 61 125 6 0 48.8
86.5
Shaheen Afridi to Temba Bavuma, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Bavuma once again gets a fifty and gets out! What a ball from Shaheen Afridi. Perfect line and length from the pacer. South Africa are struggling now. Pakistan just 4 wickets away from a victory. Good length ball around off, Bavuma looks to defend but does so without moving his feet. It takes the outside edge and goes to Rizwan who makes no mistake. South Africa still need 117 runs to win. This has been a superb spell from Afridi after the second new ball was taken.
Quinton de Kock (C) (W) c Imran Butt b Hasan Ali 0 1 0 0 0
81.2
Hasan Ali to Quinton de Kock, OUT! CAUGHT! Quinton de Kock has to go for a first-ball duck and his poor series comes to an end. What a performance that Hasan Ali is giving at the moment. He has put Pakistan back on top. Brilliant piece of bowling from the pacer. Full ball on off, de Kock looks to drive it off his first ball but it takes the outside edge and goes to second slip where Imran Butt takes a good catch. It was travelling quickly but Imran made it look easy.
Wiaan Mulder b Yasir Shah 20 40 3 0 50
91.4
Yasir Shah to Wiaan Mulder, OUT! TIMBER! That's it! This is superb from Pakistan! Loopy ball on middle, Mulder uses his feet and then looks to hammer it over the bowler's head but misses and the ball goes onto hit the stumps. PAKISTAN WIN BY 95 RUNS.

Hasan Ali to George Linde, OUT! CAUGHT! 5-fer for Hasan Ali! 10 wickets in the match for the pacer! Waqar Younis likes it and is applauding from the dugout! South Africa lose their 7th. Hasan Ali has been a star this game and he is a pleased man.Hasan bowls a full ball outside off, Linde looks to drive but fails to keep it down. It goes towards point where Faheem Ashraf dives and takes a good catch.
