Sri Lanka beat New Zealand by 7 runs | New Zealand Vs Sri Lanka Live Score, 3rd T20I Match

The captain of Sri Lanka, Charith Asalanka says that it was a good win for them and throughout the series, they have played some good cricket but couldn't cross the line. On being asked about bringing himself to bowl, he says that he had the experience to bowl in home conditions, but didn't bowled a lot overseas. Also says that they had to try since they were a bowler short. About their approach for the ODI series, Asalanka mentions that it is a momentum shift for them with this win and they would be trying hard to adapt to the situation. Also congratulates their opponents and says that New Zealand has played fantastic cricket and he hopes that Sri Lanka will do better in the ODIs. On Perera's century, he says that he has no words to describe that knock and ends up saying that it is only after 2011 or so that they have got a T20I century, so it is really special for the team.

DRINKS! What a contest we have at our helm! It hangs right in the balance at the moment and if we take a magnified look at it, the Kiwis are slightly ahead of the Sri Lankans at this stage. Rachin Ravindra finally got into the groove after two underwhelming performances and has notched up his fifty. He got brilliant support from Tim Robinson at the other end, who looked aggressive as well. With 111 more required off the last 10 overs, Sri Lanka still have a lot of runs to defend and while chasing, especially such a mammoth total, the run rate pressure always remains. With well-settled Rachin Ravindra at the crease, and a good bit of batting yet to come, New Zealand will fancy their chances. A couple of more quick wickets from here will bring Sri Lanka ahead of the contest. Will the break in play bring some respite for the tourists? Which way will it tilt? Let's find out. Here's Asalanka after the hydration break.
