That's all from the 3-game T20I series where the Kiwis take the trophy with wins in the first 2 games. A damp squib to end but it was an exciting series nonetheless. West Indies will now face the challenge from the Kiwis in the Test series. The first game will begin on Thursday, 2nd December 2020. The action will begin at 1100 local (1000 GMT THE PREVIOUS DAY). Do join us for that. Until then, goodbye and take care!

New Zealand skipper, Mitchell Santner, says that he is really happy with the way the team went about the business. Mentions that West Indies are a tough team. Feels it is disappointing to not get a game here. Says that both the teams deserved to get the full series after spending such a long time in the quarantine. Praises Phillips and terms him a very destructive player. Tells that they need to bit a little more vigilant in the middle overs of the game. Ends by saying that he is really excited for the Pakistan series.

Kieron Pollard, the Windies skipper,  says that he is obviously disappointed. Tells that he didn't expect to be outplayed the way they have been. Hopes that the Test team manages to win the series. Feels that the conditions here are completely different than back home. Says that it is about self-introspection as a team and as an individual. Feels it is up to the individuals to realize how they want to be seen around the world. Tells that fielding is about having a good attitude and intent. Says that this is international cricket and you don't want to be the laughing stock of the world. Mentions he definitely doesn't want that to happen. Ends by saying that next year is a very important one for them with the T20 World Cup.

Lockie Ferguson is named Player of the Series! Lockie says that he is really happy with the way the boys have played. On his 5-wicket haul, Ferguson states that he just had a good day. Tells that he has worked hard and mentions that he did the same in the Indian T20 League which put him in a good shape. Hopes to continue his good work. Wants to continue to express his talent in front of the home crowd. To the youngsters, Lockie says that if you want to bowl fast, you have to have that kind of intent. On using the slower ones at right time, Ferguson says that it comes with experience. Tells that the off-cutter is one of his weapons and he likes to hold it back.

You got to feel for Santner! Captaining the team for the first time! He won his first coin-toss and opted to chase. The Kiwis made a few changes to their side and so did West Indies. There was a slight delay at the start due to rain but we eventually got to the middle. But after just 14 balls, rain returned and well, it never went away. And eventually. the players had to shake hands. New Zealand take the series 2-0.

Yes! The final word has arrived! After just 2.2 overs of play, the game has been ABANDONED!

UPDATE 2120 local (0820 GMT) - The umpires are having a word with the groundsmen. Once again the umbrellas are out which means it is still RAINING! Things look really bleak for even a 5-over shooter now.

James Neesham is caught for a quick chat! Tells that it is a bit frustrating but adds it is the case of staying switched on. Adds that he is happy to be 2-0 up. Tells that the batters have done really well but there areas to work for the bowlers. Mentions that he is pleased to play in front of the crowd. Ends by saying that he is looking for he Australia series.

Update 2045 local (0745 GMT) - The umpires are out in the middle but their umbrellas which means it continues to drizzle. Not good signs right now. The wait continues.

Update 2035 local (0735 GMT) - Well, the drizzle has returned and our waiiting game is extended a bit for sure. Also, we have started to lose overs as well.

Update 2100 local (0800 GMT) - We wish we could bring you some good news but unfortuantely that is not the case as it continues to rain. The cut-off time is 2148 local so we have another 48 minutes to get at least a 5-over game. Let's pray we get some action in this one.

Update 2015 local (0715 GMT) - We have some very good news! The rain has stopped and knowing the drainage facility here, we should get started sooner. Hopefully we won't have any other interupptions and the rain gods will stay away from this exciting clash.

UPDATE 1947 local (0647 GMT) - Nothing much to update as it continues to drizzle! The covers are on. Stay tight and wait for the next update.

UPDATE 1918 local (0618 GMT) - Not the sight we like to see. The rain has started to gather pace and the players are walking off the field. It looks pretty heavy but let's hope it stops as soon as possible and we have action back again sooner rather than later. It looks like it will be a stop-start evening.

Hello and welcome to the 3rd and last T20I of the series between New Zealand and West Indies. The Kiwis have pocketed the series already and are ready to give chances to a few other prospects who they think might be important for them ahead of the T20 World Cup in 2021. West Indies, on the other hand, would be eager to turn things around and win the last game of the series. They fought hard in the first game but suffered a heavy loss in the second. Will they be able to change things here or will the hosts be able to thump the visitors one more time? The weather might play a spoilsport here in this game with showers expected throughout the day. We will soon have all the answers. Stay with us for all the updates!
