Pathum Nissanka run out (sub Wesley Madhevere) 55 66 6 0 83.33
22.2
Sikandar Raza to Kamindu Mendis, OUT! RUN OUT! Nissanka's brilliant knock comes to an end with some mix-up. He will feel, he missed out to convert this into a big score. Was really a good chance! Tossed up, outside off. Mendis works it to point. There was never a run but Nissanka is down the track for a single but was sent back by Mendis. A direct hit from the substitute fielder, Wesley Madhevere at the bowler's end. Zimbabwe were confident and the replay showed that Nissanka was well short of his crease.
Kusal Mendis (W) c Blessing Muzarabani b Wellington Masakadza 36 51 4 0 70.59
17.2
Wellington Masakadza to Kusal Mendis, OUT! CAUGHT! Kusal Mendis tries to break the shackles but holes out instead. He actually gifted his wicket here. Floated, full and on off. Mendis makes room and chips it inside out towards long off. Blessing Muzarabani comes forward and takes the simplest of catches. Wellington Masakadza draws the first blood. The spinners have done well to put a lid over the run rate and kept building the pressure. Eventually, the pressure got to Mendis and he walks back to the pavilion after a soft dismissal.
Kamindu Mendis c & b Ryan Burl 11 20 0 0 55
23.1
Ryan Burl to Kamindu Mendis, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! A full ball, on middle, Mendis comes down the track and hits it with a full face of the bat, straight back to the bowler. Burl appeals and was confident as well. An appeal for caught and bowled is taken upstairs, the catch was clean but the only question was if it was a bump ball. Replay rolls in and the ball clearly came off the blade. Zimbabwe on the front foot suddenly with two quick wickets.
Dinesh Chandimal lbw b Sean Williams 17 24 1 0 70.83
30.6
Sean Williams to Dinesh Chandimal, OUT! LBW! A tossed up ball, slanting around off. Chandimal steps down and across and tries to sweep it but misses. An appeal for LBW but not given. That looked plumb and there was no second thought to take the review. Zimbabwe looked confident and took the review. UltraEdge shows no bat there. Ball Tracker shows three reds and Chandimal has to walk back. Brilliant from Williams, in his very first over and the spinners continue to do the job for Zimbabwe.
Charith Asalanka c Wellington Masakadza b Tendai Chatara 52 56 5 0 92.86
40.4
Tendai Chatara to Charith Asalanka, OUT! CAUGHT! Tendai Chatara gets a big wicket of Charith Asalanka which also will be his 100th wicket in ODI cricket. He is the quickest Zimbabwe player to achieve this feat. A full-length ball, outside off. Charith Asalanka leans in and chips it towards backward point. Wellington Masakadza takes the simplest of catches. Sri Lanka in a spot of trouble here.
Dasun Shanaka (C) c Sikandar Raza b Richard Ngarava 15 23 1 0 65.22
38.4
Richard Ngarava to Dasun Shanaka, OUT! TAKEN! Sikandar Raza holds onto it. What a catch! Good reflex shown by him this time! This is short and outside off. Shanaka cuts it uppishly and towards backward point where Raza is stationed. The ball comes quickly to him but he does well to take it near his chest. Timely wicket for Zimbabwe and no heroics from Shanaka in this innings.
Chamika Karunaratne run out (Ryan Burl / Regis Chakabva) 30 32 1 0 93.75
49.2
Blessing Muzarabani to Chamika Karunaratne, OUT! RUN OUT! A length ball, on off. Chamika Karunaratne slaps it down the ground to long on and gets across for a couple of runs. Ryan Burl throws the ball towards the keeper, after seeing the batters push hard for two runs. The throw is accurate and Regis Chakabva is quick to get the bails off. Chamika Karunaratne puts in a dive but ends up being short as confirmed by the TV umpire.
Ramesh Mendis b Blessing Muzarabani 26 21 2 0 123.81
47.4
Blessing Muzarabani to Ramesh Mendis, OUT! DRAGGED ON! Blessing Muzarabani strikes in his ninth over. He is elated with this wicket. A full-length ball, outside off. Ramesh Mendis comes across and looks to go for the lap shot but only manages to get a bail off the leg stump. The umpire wants to take it upstairs. It was a clear cut out.
Dushmantha Chameera c Sean Williams b Richard Ngarava 1 3 0 0 33.33
48.5
Richard Ngarava to Dushmantha Chameera, OUT! CAUGHT! Richard Ngarava gets his second wicket of the game. A full toss, on off. Dushmantha Chameera swings his blade at it. The ball goes off the splice towards mid off. Sean Williams slides in to his left and gathers the ball safely.

Jeffrey Vandersay to Takudzwanashe Kaitano, OUT! STUMPED! Brilliant effort the Kusal Mendis behind the stumps. Jeffrey Vandersay strikes on his second delivery. This is brilliant, the hosts are dominating with the ball. Floated, full and around off. Kaitano is drawn forward as he looks to defend it out but gets beaten on the outside edge. Kusal Mendis gathers the ball and takes the bails off. He looks very excited, he thinks he has got his man here. The TV umpire is consulted. After several replays the third umpire confirms Takudzwanashe Kaitano had his back leg in the air while the bails were knocked off and the final decision is OUT.

2.3
Dushmantha Chameera to Craig Ervine, OUT! CAUGHT! Back-to-back wickets for Sri Lanka. The crowd is up in celebration. Dushmantha Chameera sends the back the opposition skipper on a golden duck and finds himself on a Hat-Trick. A length ball, angled across the left-hander, in the corridor of uncertainty. Craig Ervine looks to defend it out but only manages to get a thick outside edge. Kusal Mendis dives to his left to take a really good catch. Zimbabwe in a spot of bother straightaway.
Sean Williams b Maheesh Theekshana 6 21 0 0 28.57
7.2
Maheesh Theekshana to Sean Williams, OUT! TIMBER! What a delivery! It went through the gate! Theekshana bowls it from wide of the crease, an arm ball, full and coming with the angle around off. Williams gets on the front foot and looks to defend it away from the body but the ball spins back in and goes through the gate to rattles the stumps. Perfect start for Sri Lanaka. Suddenly the target looks quite big for Zimbabwe.
Milton Shumba c Jeffrey Vandersay b Ramesh Mendis 9 22 1 0 40.91
15.5
Ramesh Mendis to Milton Shumba, OUT! TAKEN! Another one bites the dust! Nothing is going their way and the result looks clear unless there is some magic. Shumba was connecting really well and does so this time. This is full and on middle. Shumba gets on his knee and slog-sweeps it, he connects it well but doesn't get the required elevation. Holes out to the fielder at deep square leg where Jeffrey Vandersay takes it low and nice.

11.1

Burl looks to defend it out but misses and gets pinged on the pads. This is plumb, Jeffrey Vandersay appeals and the umpire raises his finger in a flash. Burl knows he has to walk back but still opts for the review and hopes for a miracle to save him. The Ball Tracker shows three reds and he is a goner.
Wellington Masakadza b Ramesh Mendis 1 4 0 0 25
17.1
