7th Pay Commission: Railways to Fill 1120 Vacancies, Offers CPC Benefits Under Recruitment Drive

Railway Recruitment 2018: The Indian Railways has invited online applications to fill 1120 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors (SI) under a recruitment drive for Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Selected candidates will get salary as per Level 6 of 7th Pay Commission or 7th CPC matrix. A Computer-based Test (CBT) will be conducted to fill 819 vacancies for male and 301 for female candidates. The recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission was approved by the Union Cabinet in July 2017.

Candidates, who have completed their graduation from a recognised university, are eligible. Opening date for submission of online application form is June 1, while the last date is June 30. The last date to submit online and offline fee payment is July 2 and July 5 respectively. Selected candidates will get an initial payment of Rs. 35,400/- plus other allowances admissible at that time under Level 6 of 7th Pay Commission.

Online CBT will tentatively be held in September and October 2018. Candidates qualified and securing marks in the merit list (10 times of the category-wise vacancies notified) and in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV).

UR/OBC: 165 cms for males, 157 cms for women
SC/ST: 160cms for males, 152 cms for women
For Garhwalis, Gorkhas, Marathas, Dogras, Kumaonese and other Categories specified by Govt: 163cms for males, 155 cms for women
