Jaipur, Feb 22: Overcoming onerous challenges, Heena Kalla, a visually disabled girl has cracked the Rajasthan Administrative Services examination in her second attempt. Heena, now undergoing training at Officers Training Institute at Jaipur, said that she lost her vision after getting infected with a retina related disease in 2006. Despite the untimely disaster, Heena decided to continue her studies with the help of her family members. Talking to Zee media, Heena said her sister Priyanka overcame all difficulties to help her. Priyanka not only recorded Heena’s subject lessons in tape recorder but installed it in the computer, so that Heena can hear records to revise her lessons. After passing intermediate exams, Heena also passed her graduation with impressive marks. She also passed Bachelor of Education and started teaching students. Later, She joined as a lecturer in Shiwanchi gate government higher secondary school in Jaipur. But she quit the job to realise her dream to be an Indian Administrative Officer. Heena says she will continue trying to join much-coveted Indian Administrative Services.
