About BSF: The Border Security Force (BSF) is considered as primary Border guarding force of India. It is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India, it was raised in the wake of the 1965 War on 1 December 1965, “for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected there with”. It is a Central Armed Police Force charged with guarding India’s land border during peacetime and preventing transnational crime. It is a Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs.

Educational Qualification for BSF Constable (GD) Meritorious Sportsperson Posts: The wiling aspirants must have passed Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized board /University with sports Certificate.
Sports Qualification for BSF Constable (GD) Meritorious Sportsperson Posts :
The sportsperson who have represented a State or Country in the National or International compaction in any of the Sports/ Game listed in the notification. OR Sportsperson who have represented their University in the Inter University Tournament conducted by Inter- University Sports board in any of the Sports/ Game listed in the notification. OR

The selection of candidates will based on the performance in Height Bar/ Test, Identity Check, Checking of Testimonial /documents, Physical Standard Test, Trial in respective sports discipline & Medical Examination.
