Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 came with some very significant changes. When at first the authorities announced about the CAT new pattern and changes, a wave of anxiety had washed over all the CAT aspirants. Since then, candidates had been anxious till the exam day. Though the number of questions had been increased, yet candidates were able to focus and manage their time better because of the liberty to navigate between sections. Candidates majorly attempted Verbal Ability section instead of Logical Reasoning. The authorities had made CAT LR section difficult and deriving correct answers for this section would have been a lengthy process. At the same time, the significant change in VA section was that, there were no questions framed on Vocabulary and the Grammar too didn’t cover the major area of this section.
Candidates preferred attempting Quantitative Ability over Data Interpretation. The QA section was surprisingly low on difficulty level. However DI questions were again trickier ones and were considered to be time consuming.
CAT 2014 Results and Selection Process:
Results for CAT 2014 is expected in the 3rd week of December on the official website of CAT 2014.
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their overall percentiles. Selected students will have to go through the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds, in order to get admission to any of the IIMs.
