The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has released the official notification for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 aspirants. Candidates can register for the exam from August 08, 2015 till September 22, 2016. The exam is scheduled to be held on December 04, 2016. Result for the same is expected to be out by the second week of January. Surprisingly, the institute has not brought about any changes in the paper pattern. The highlight of the entire notification is that there are going to be some questions in each section which might not not be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).  Instead, candidates would need to give direct answers on the screen. So far, the institute has refrained from providing the information that, if there is going to be any negative marking for Non-MCQ questions. The institute is going to release a tutorials on October 18, 2016, only that would give a clearly idea about the paper pattern in CAT 2016. Candidates who are going to appear for CAT 2016 are going to get three sections in the exam, like last year. The sections would be Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Each section is to be solved in the allotted 60 minutes, in total candidates will get 180 minutes to solve the entire question paper. Candidates find this a real challenge as the weaker sections do not get enough time and the strong sections are solved before the deadline.
