Jul. 30, 2017: IIM Lucknow has released the notification for CAT 2017 Examination. The notification released late last night on the official website can also be checked on the leading daily newspapers. The CAT 2017 Notification released confirms the date of CAT 2017 as November 26. CAT or Common Admission Test is conducted by the IIMs for ascertaining the aptitude for admission into various IIMs and other MBA institutes in the country. The exam is the largest entrance test for admission into post graduate management courses in the country’s premium management institutes and universities. This year, the exam is being conducted by IIM Lucknow. The date of the examination is set at November 26, 2017. Check the important dates in the table provided below. Candidates to please note that the dates are provided in the notification and can change. It is always, however, better to apply in good time. Also, the fee to apply for CAT 2017 is set at INR 900 for SC, ST and PwD categories. For General and other Category, the fee for CAT 2017 is set ay INR 1800. The Eligibility for CAT 2017 remains the same. Candidates who have a graduation degree from a recognized university can apply for CAT 2017 on the official website. Please note that there is no minimum age for applying for CAT 2017 examination. Also, the students who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply for CAT 2017. The registration guide with details would be provided on the website soon. Candidates can check the updates and details as and when made available. Students are also informed that clearing the CAT is not a guarantee to admission into IIMs. CAT is only the examination conducted for assessing the aptitude. Each of the IIMs have their own minimum eligibility criteria as well, including a minimum CAT percentile. Details as and when available would be provided here.
