Major entrance exams like Common Admission Test CAT, IBPS PO and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade IIFT MBA exam will be clashing this year. As per the official notification released by IIM Lucknow,  the CAT exam 2017 will be conducted on November 26, 2017 Sunday. However, the IIFT has issued a notification on its official website stating that the issue related to clashing of date of MBA(IB) Entrance Exam with CAT, is being resolved. It is advised that the aspirants must keep a watch on the official website. This year apparently the IBPS PO exam was also clashing with the MBA entrance exams.

The announcement of IIFT MBA entrance exam and CAT 2017 exam being on the same day had created panic among the aspirants. The aspirants hoping to appear for both the CAT and IIFT 2017 entrance exam were fearing that they would lose out a chance to appear for both the exams. In case the aspirants had lost the chance to appear in either of the entrance exam, they might have missed out a chance to seek admission to a prestigious institute. The application form for both IIFT MBA entrance exam  and CAT 2017 exam are out at the official website. To apply for IIFT MBA entrance exam 2017, it is mandatory to note that the candidates need to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with 50% marks in Graduation (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates). The candidates who appeared in the final year examination of Graduation is also allowed to apply. There is no age limit to appear for the exam. The selection of aspirants at IIFT for the MBA course will be on the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion, Essay Writing and Interview. To apply for CAT  2017 the eligibility criteria is similar to IIFT MBA entrance exam. However, it has to noted that the percentage of marks obtained by the aspirants would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. This year the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) released the notification for CAT 2017 and this year the Convener for CAT 2017 will be Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi from IIM Lucknow.
