The Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) will conduct the Senior School Certificate Examinations (Class 12th Board Exam) from February 17 to April 9, 2026. The board exams will commence on February 17, with Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Shorthand(English), and Shorthand (Hindi) scheduled for the first day. The board has released sample question papers for classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2025-26. The Board has released the marking scheme along with the sample paper. All those students planning to appear for the Secondary School Certificate Examination(Class 12) and Secondary School Examination(Class 10) next year can download the sample paper from the official website – cbseacademic.nic.in.

  • There are 33 questions in this question paper with internal choice.
  • SECTION A consists of 16 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each.
  • SECTION B consists of 5 short answer questions carrying 2 marks each.
  • SECTION C consists of 7 short answer questions carrying 3 marks each.
  • SECTION D consists of 2 case-based questions carrying 4 marks each.
  • SECTION E consists of 3 long answer questions carrying 5 marks each.
  • All questions are compulsory.
  • Use of log tables and calculators is not allowed.

The maximum mark for the Chemistry board exams is 70. The CBSE Class 12 Chemistry examination paper will be held for a duration of three hours. Candidates are advised to check the official website of the Central Board of Secondary Education for the latest updates.
