The CBSE Board Examination 2017 have concluded for Class 10 students. As for the Class 12, the Board Examinations would end on April 21, 2017. As soon as the board examinations end, the central board would start with the evaluation process. While students wait for the results, many students are curious about the options open in case of an unfavourable result in a subject. Some even dread failing a subject. In case your class 12 Board Examinations did not go as well as you hoped for, there is always the option of appearing as a Private Candidate. Students have written to us requesting information regarding the same and hence we are happy to provide the basic information. It is important to note here that actual dates would be shared as and when the notification is released by CBSE. Till then, the information in regards the dates are tentative. Students who have failed an exam in this academic year can fill for re-writing the exam as a Private Candidate next year. Students can also file for an improvement as a Private Candidate even though they have not failed in any exam. What it means is, in case a paper was not as per expectation, the students can re-appear for that single paper next year as a private candidate. In order to write the examination, however, the student would have to fill the online application forms. The Forms are usually made available in the Month of September of the previous year along with the regular forms. Hence, in case you wish to write your improvement paper, you can do so by filling the application form this year in the month of September.
