New Delhi, Mar 19: On March 12, the Central Board of Secondary Education has conducted the Class 10 English Paper exam. But after the English paper exam got over the teachers and the students has raised concern about a question. According to the teachers, few questions were misleading. But the CBSE officials had assured that before finalisation of marking scheme the board will consider the matter. They also assured that this time the board will go easy on the passing criteria. The teachers said that the students were asked to find synonyms for ‘endurance,’ ‘obstruction’ and ‘motivation’ from paragraphs two, four and five. But the answers were printed in paragraphs three and six. Now according to TOI reports, CBSE has decided to give two extra marks to the students who have attempted the comprehension passage question which had asked students to look for synonyms. This year almost 16,38,428 candidates have registered for the class 10 board exam and the exam is going to get over on April 4.
Another teacher said after analysing the question paper properly at that time, “Q.no. 1.3 had wrong paragraph numbers mentioned in the paper and because of that, a few students were baffled and expect CBSE to compensate the marks during the evaluation.”
