CBSE Class 9, 11 Registration: A notification issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) asked the affiliated schools to register themselves for the academic session 2018-19. The online registration for regular students of Classes 9 and 11 has begun on October 1. The last date for registration is October 22. Before taking up the online registration, the affiliated schools were advised to register themselves. The official website for registration is cbse.nic.in.

The schools were requested to offer only those subjects permitted by the CBSE Board, said the notification. The board may take action against the school in case of violation of the rule. Students will also lose their candidature if the violation occurs. The CBSE Board has also informed that the online registration does not require the ‘Aadhaar number’ a field for the same has been provided in the website. Students who do not possess Aadhar card may enter either their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other government valid identity. Foreign nationals can provide either their passport number or the Social Security Number/ID Number issued by their country.

The application fee for the registration is Rs 150. Students with disabilities will get exemptions on the fee. The deadline for the payment of the online application fee is October 22. After October 30, candidates have to pay a late fee of Rs 500 for registration between October 31 to November 12,  Rs 1000 for November 13 to November 20 and Rs 2000 and Rs 5000 for registration from November 21 to November 28.
