CBSE launches Digital Lockers: 5 Key Points every student should know

To provide easy access to academic documents online the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) launched its digital repository,’ Parinam Manjusha’ in the month of November. Parinam Manjusha has been developed by CBSE in collaboration with NEGD (DigiLocker), this is a first of its kind initiative. The students can now access their marksheets, pass certificates, and migration certificates at the click of a button through this repository.

The documents will contain a QR code, which can be verified through a mobile-based scanning app that can be downloaded from the Parinam Manjusha portal.To access the CBSE Digilocker students need to register on DigiLocker using their mobile number. Then Digilocker will send you all the login details on your mobile number. For signing in one can use the login details, students need to enter their username and password. After that, one need to enter their roll number and their name, they will get your digital mark sheet. (ALSO READ: CBSE to provide easy access to academic documents online)

Candidates have to first register on Parinam Manjusha and get verified by CBSE. They can then check the applicants’ certificates after paying the verification fee online. The documents will be emailed to the employer and the applicant will be notified.

Parinam Manjusha will contain CBSE certificates in a central database on a central server. The Board might also integrate this database with the National Academic Depository System.

Here are five key points related to CBSE DigiLocker students should know:

1. CBSE and its regional offices will be able to store and access academic records through this repository. They also have the option to update (if any) academic records after following the due approval process. Duplicate certificates can be printed using the repository.
2. All the educational institutions and employers can also verify applicants’ academic records through this portal.
3. Through DigiLocker all the students can get digital marksheet, pass certificate and migration certificate of CBSE examinations.
4. Last two years documents have been already uploaded on this portal, students and educational institutions can access it easily.
5. CBSE has made this Digilocker mandatory for Class 10 & 12 as well as for other important examinations like CBSE UGC NET, JEE, NEET, etc.
