New Delhi, March 31: The Central Bureau of Secondary Education (CBSE) chairperson Anita Karwal on Saturday rubbished the rumours that the Hindi paper was also leaked. “It was the compartment paper of 2017. This is definitely a mischief. Group of students protesting outside CBSE claim to have it, they are circulating it too,” Karwal told The Indian Express, soon after students protested, claiming to have the ‘leaked’ Hindi paper. Earlier in the day, three people were arrested under the relevant section of IPC in connection with the CBSE class 10 Maths, class 12 Economics paper leak, said Superintendent of Police Chatra, Jharkhand. The police had also detained nine under the Juvenile Act. On Friday, the board had announced that class 12 Economics paper would be conducted on April 25. The board announced that re-examination date of class 10 Maths exam was yet to be decided but would be announced within a fortnight.
“Regarding Class 10 re-examination, as the leak was restricted to Delhi and Haryana, if it at all a re-exam will happen, it will happen only in Delhi and Haryana and a decision will be taken on this in next 15 days. If at all a re-exam is done, it will be in July,” Education Secretary Anil Swarup had said.
Swarup, however, clarified that the decision to conduct fresh exams won’t affect the date of publication of the results, which usually happens in May end.
