New Delhi, Apr 20: The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to give two marks as compensation to class X students for a typing error in English question paper, reported a news agency ANI.

According to reports, the students had to read the passage and write synonyms for words such as endurance, obstruction, and motivation. But the paragraphs were incorrectly marked, due to which the students got confused.

Teachers and students from different schools approached the CBSE with the plea that the English paper had certain errors in the comprehension passage section. The paper was held on March 12. They filed an online petition after that.

The CBSE board examination for class 10 was started on March 5 across the country and will end on April 25.  A total of 16,38,428 students had signed up for the class 10 exams.
