CTET Exam Date 2018: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday declared that the examination for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018 will be conducted on December 9. A short notice regarding the same was also posted on the official website of CTET.

Further, CTET will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Garo, Gujarati, Khasi, Malayam, Manipuri, Marathi, Telugu and other Indian languages.

Notably, candidates interested in taking up teaching jobs in central schools or other state schools are required by RTE Act to be CTET or TET qualified. The Central TET or CTET is conducted by CBSE. CTET qualification is now mandatory for candidates who wish to take up teaching jobs for Classes I to VIII.
