May 24, 2017, Delhi: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the results for Class 12th Board Examinations by May 27. As per sources close to the Board, while there is a temporary delay in declaration of the results due to the scrapping of No Moderation Policy, the Board was trying its level best to speed up the process. Yesterday, Delhi HC asked CBSE to revert to the old practice of moderation after a PIL was filed in the court. Following the order, the HRD Minister, Prakash Javadekar called for a High Level Meeting last evening. Sources reveal that CBSE officials were to deliberate on the best possible manner to implement the same. Sources also reveal that though CBSE would miss the initial date of May 24, it is trying to keep the delay short. May 27 is being touted as the tentative deadline for declaration of Class 12 Board Exam Results by CBSE. Official update awaited at cbseresults.nic.in. India.com had informed on Monday why CBSE results would not be released on May 24. Experts, believe that there would be a delay of at least a week due to roll back of Moderation Policy. This, however, is not what sources are suggesting. As per the information gathered by our Education Desk, CBSE is working on double foot to ensure that there is no unnecessary delay in the declaration of results. Tentative date, hence has been fixed at May 27. The official update would be made available on cbse.nic.in 24 hourse prior to the actual declaration of results. As for the Class 10th Results, sources say that it is all dependent on the CBSE Class 12 Results. Though not confirmed by the officials, the date for Class 10 Results is set at June 2. CBSE 12 Board Results are crucial as students have to apply for undergraduate courses. Many students who have applied to universities outside of the country have to submit the actual mark sheets and start with the Visa Processing. The delay, hence, could adversely effect the students. Hence, CBSE is working extra time to moderate the scores and release the results latest by Saturday, May 27, 2017. Students should also note there is no official update available as of now. The same would be updated as and when it is released by CBSE. The experts maintain that moderation would require a minimum of 5 working days to be implemented properly. Some also claim that there was no confirmation that CBSE was ready to release the results on May 24. The Delhi HC order was a very sudden step.
