CLAT 2026 registration begins at consortiumofnlus.ac.in; Know how to apply, eligibility criteria

CLAT 2026: The Consortium of National Law Universities is all set to begin the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 today, August 1. Interested candidates can apply for CLAT UG and CLAT PG on the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The candidates should note that the application window for CLAT 2026 is scheduled to close on October 31, 2025, and the entrance exam for the same is scheduled to be conducted on December 7, 2025. Additionally, the exam will take place in a single shift from 2 PM to 4 PM. All necessary details, such as the syllabus, exam pattern, marking scheme, application fee, eligibility criteria, and other key information, will soon be released in the official notification for CLAT 2026, expected to be published on the CLAT website.
CLAT 2026: Key Details
The official notification, including comprehensive details regarding CLAT 2026, will be released later today, August 1. According to the eligibility criteria followed up until now, all candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 45 per cent marks can apply for the CLAT UG exam; however, for reserved categories, the required marks is 40 per cent. On the other hand, CLAT PG applicants are required to hold an LLB degree with at least 45 per cent marks, while candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories require a minimum of 40 per cent to be eligible.
CLAT 2026: Steps for Applying Online
For the convenience of the candidates, we have provided the steps through which they can register and apply for CLAT 2026:
Step 1. Go to the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2. Navigate to the CLAT UG/PG page according to the requirement.
Step 3. Click on the registration link.
Step 3. Enter all the required details for completing the registration process.
Step 4. Use you credentials to log in to your account.
Step 5. Fill out the application form by uploading all the necessary documents.
Step 6. Pay the processing fees to complete the application process and submit.
Step 6. Download and save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
All candidates should note that the application fees are non-refundable and will not be returned in any case. It is also advisable for candidates to regularly visit the official website for more details and upadtes.
