During her time at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Srishti remained focused on achieving her IAS dream. She did not allow anything else to distract her from it, including sleep, rest, or taking leave from work when needed. While Srishti worked 8-9 hours each day, she also studied after her job finished and was willing to work through various adversities; however, she persevered and ultimately was able to crack her UPSC exams on her first attempt. She scored an All India Rank(AIR) 6. Srishti’s success is a testament to how individuals can accomplish their UPSC ambitions while still maintaining a day job.
Srishti Dabas hails from Delhi. It has been reported that Srishti Dabas grew up in a separated family; Srishti was raised by her mother after her parents separated when she was very small. Despite her difficult upbringing, Srishti’s mother worked extremely hard to provide Srishti with the best opportunities to succeed. Determined to honor her mother’s efforts, she vowed to make her proud through her achievements.
Srishti was an exceptionally bright student. Once she completed her intermediate education, she obtained a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Indraprastha College for Women, which is part of Delhi University; after this, she enrolled in IGNOU to obtain her Master’s degree in Political Science. Srishti began preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam once she completed her Master’s education.
Srishti Dabas achieved the All India Rank(AIR) 6 in the Civil Services(Main) Exam 2023 in her first attempt. She secured 862 marks in the written examination and 186 marks in the personality test. Overall, she obtained 1048 marks.
While she was preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Exam, Srishti Dabas also found a job with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). During the day, Srishti had a full-time job and then studied late into the night. She utilized every opportunity to study, such as taking advantage of her lunch breaks while at work. Prior to joining the RBI, Srishti worked for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Dealing with both work and her UPSC preparation at the same time was very challenging for Srishti; however, she persevered through all the challenges and continued to work hard. According to reports, Srishti worked in Human Resource Management for the RBI, where she manages the appraisals of employees, as per media reports. She managed to find time for her studies by using the library at RBI and studying during her lunch breaks. She was selected for the highly regarded Indian Administrative Service with All-India Rank (AIR) 6.
