The National Testing Agency(NTA) has commenced the CUET PG 2026 registration process. The CUET (PG)- 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The last date to submit the NTA CUET PG 2026 applications is January 14, 2026. Meanwhile, candidates will be allowed to edit their NTA CUET application form between January 18 to January 20, 2026. According to the information bulletin, the exam is scheduled to be held in March 2026. “Candidates are requested to fill in the Application Form very carefully. No corrections will be permitted once the correction period is complete.” Note: Multiple Application Forms submitted by a candidate will not be accepted.

When does the CUET PG 2026 application process start and end?

The CUET (PG) – 2026 scores will be used for admissions to the PG programmes of participating universities in the next academic session, i.e., 2026-27. This year, there has been made a significant change regarding the exam city selection. If you are planning to apply for CUET PG 2026, read on to know all the important details about the exam. Choice of Centre Cities will be limited to the State/UT of Permanent Address and State/UT of Present Address, only filled during the Online Application Form of CUET (PG) – 2026.

How many exam cities can candidates select for CUET PG 2026?

While applying, candidates can select up to a maximum of TWO cities of their choice within the State provided in their Present and Permanent Address. All efforts will be made to allot the city of Examination to the candidates in order of choice opted by them in their online Application Form. However, due to administrative/logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted. In case, there are very few or no candidates registered for from a City, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two or more cities. “The decision of the NTA regarding the allotment of the City/Centre shall be final. No further correspondence or request shall be entertained in such a case. In case of foreign candidates as well, the Choice of Cities will be based on their Present and Permanent address from Appendix -III for the exam Centre in order of their priority,” reads the NTA CUET PG information bulletin.

“For convenience, the candidates may select their own city or neighboring cities in their State of
Residence or permanent address only. NTA will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused by
the incorrect selection of cities by candidates. Though every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the cities selected by the candidate, the NTA reserves the right to allot a Centre in a city other than the candidate’s choice. Allotment of Centres will be done mostly in one of the preferred cities of the candidates and there will be no human intervention,” NTA in informational bulletin said.

Candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination or Candidates who are pursuing their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Examination and appearing in the Final Year of their Bachelor’s degree/equivalent examination in 2026, are eligible to appear in CUET (PG)- 2026.

Structure of Examination

  • Choice of Question Paper Codes: Candidates may select up to FOUR question paper codes from the list provided at Appendix-II as per the question paper codes mapped against Degree /Programme offered by the university/ies where admission is sought.   • Examination Duration: The duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.
  • Number of Questions: Each question paper will comprise 75 questions.
