Delhi: Teenage Girl Hangs Self After Failing CBSE Class 12 Exam The Third Time

The girl, who dropped out of her school last year, committed suicide after she failed in her compartment exam for the third time. Her father stated that she had difficulty in English exam.

New Delhi: A 17-year-old teenager had reportedly committed suicid after failing her CBSE Class 12 Board Exam for the third time in a row. After checking her results, the girl went home and had a meal with her family members. Later, she went to her room and hung herself from a ceiling fan in her room in North East Delhi, stated a report.

A report quoted the girl’s father as saying, “We don’t know for sure what had actually happened with regard to the exams. We only know that when she came out of the CBSE office, she told my wife that her paper was cancelled. It is possible that she had failed again and was afraid to tell us the truth. We don’t really know.”

As per the report, the girl did not clear her Class XII Board Exam conducted in 2017. She even failed the second time after she got a compartment in 2018. The high school drop out committed suicide after she failed in her compartment exam this year.

The girl’s father reportedly said that she had difficulty in English. Thus the father enrolled her in English tuition class last year when she was dropped out of the school.

In yet another incident in April, a teenage girl allegedly committed suicide in Umarwada village in Madhya Pradesh’s Seoni district after her mother scolded her for purchasing a mobile phone, said police. Barghat Police Station in charge Santosh Dhurve said a suicide note, purportedly written by her, has been recovered from the house in which the teen has apologised to her mother for the act.
