New Delhi, Feb 2: Mocking anti-cheating drive, the education mafia in Uttar Pradesh has devised a new method for cheating in upcoming exams in the state. Jaunpur Police, in a sensational revelation, seized newly printed answer sheets from a printing press in the district. The officials said they have confiscated thousands of answer sheets from a printing press in Jogiyapur area and arrested its owners and employees.
Commenting after the arrest of culprits, District magistrate Alok Singh said that fake answer sheets of UP Board were being printed at Suraj Pustak Kendra. Singh added that a joint team of district and police officials raided the press. They found that fake answer sheets were getting printed on the instructions of press owner Ram Palat Maurya.
He added that all culprits have been arrested and police has launched an investigation into the matter. Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh is also assisting the local police in the matter.
In order to curb cheating in the state, education minister Dinesh Sharma had asked colleges to install CCTV Cameras. In September 2017, the state government had announced that it would to allow only CCTV-equipped to become examination centres in an attempt to curb cheating during exams.”Only the schools which are equipped with CCTV cameras will be allowed to become board examination centres,” Dinesh Sharma had said.
