Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has decided that test copies of recruitment exam for 68,500 Assistant Teachers’ will undergo the second round of checking. It must be noted that the decision was taken after Allahabad High Court observed alleged irregularities in the exam.
Now, appointment to the 68,500 Assistant teachers posts will be made according to results that will come out after rechecking. Further, Allahabad High Court has also asked the government to submit a progress report of alleged irregularities in the appointment process of the recruitment exam.
Meanwhile, nearly one lakh candidates sat for the UP Teachers’ Recruitment exam 2018, wherein a total of 41,556 students managed to pass the exam.
Earlier on September 8, the UP government constituted a high-level committee to probe into irregularities in the recruitment examination and suspended a top official of exam regulatory authority.
A government spokesperson said, “In this examination, a list of 23 examinees was obtained, who had not cleared the examination, but were declared as qualified.” Prima face there are serious irregularities in evaluation and declaration of results. More investigation is needed so that exemplary punishment can be given to the guilty, the spokesperson said in a statement. The probe committee will be headed by Sanjay R Bhoosreddy, principal secretary, sugar industry and sugarcane development.
