Ria Dabi, the younger sister of the renowned IAS officer Tina Dabi, often finds herself in the limelight just like her sister. Recently, Ria Dabi’s husband also appeared on the transfer list that was released in the state. The couple were posted together in the same district, and are now posted along in probably 100 kilometers apart, reported NavBharat Times. It is worth mentioning that Tina Dabi’s husband, IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, was also transferred a couple of weeks earlier.
Recently, the Bhajan Lal government carried out a significant reshuffle of the IPS officers, in which IAS officer Ria Dabi’s IPS officer Manish Kumar was transferred. Manish Kumar has been promoted and appointed as the Superintendent of Police(SP) of Dungarpur district. Previously, he was serving as an ASP in Udaipur, working alongside his wife. With his new posting, the couple will now be separated by a distance of about 100 kilometers. Meanwhile, Ria Dabi continues to serve as the CEO of the District Council in Udaipur.
Sharing a post on Instagram, IPS Manish wrote,” 23.7.25 – Joined as SP, Dungarpur. From ASP in Udaipur to SP in Dungarpur—the Rank and role has changed, but the mission remains same: nurturing trust, ensuring safety, and standing beside every citizen of this beautiful district. Here’s to deeper connections and meaningful change.”

The Bhajan Lal government had previously made a similar arrangement for famed IAS officer Tina Dabi. Presently, Tina Dabi is the District Collector of Barmer, while her IAS spouse, Pradeep Gawande, is posted as the Collector of Jalore, a nearby district. The government has done this before, as there are many assigned similar postings for IAS and IPS couples in proximity. For context, Ria Dabi is in the 2021 IAS batch, and Manish Kumar is an IPS officer, same batch and was initially allotted the Maharashtra cadre, but followed with a request for a change after marriage to Ria Dabi.
