The Civil Services Examination(CSE) is one of the most prestigious exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. IAS officers Smita Sabharwal and Tina Dabi are among the most respected women in India’s civil services. What schools did Tina Dabi and Smita Sabharwal attend?
Smita Sabharwal finished the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Examination(Class 12) in 1995. Her school was affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. She secured a Grade A in the SUPW & Community Service. Her subject combination included English, Hindi, Economics, Structure of Commerce, and Principles of Accounts — a well-rounded mix that laid a solid foundation for her future in civil services. Media reports suggest that she obtained an impressive 91 per cent in Class 10.
On the other hand, Tina Dabi completed her schooling at Jesus and Mary School in Delhi. If media reports are to be believed, Tina scored an impressive 93% in her Class 12 board exams, including a perfect 100 in both Political Science and History. Tina Dabi reportedly completed her senior secondary education under the CBSE curriculum.
Speaking about their higher studies, Tina went on to graduate from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, with a degree in Political Science. On the other hand, Sabharwal completed her graduation in commerce from St Francis College for Women, a Catholic minority institution that is located in Begumpet, Hyderabad.
