IBPS PO Prelims 2018: The IBPS PO Prelims 2018 examination will be conducted from October 13, 2018. The other dates on which the exam will be held are October 14, 20 and 21. The online registration for the IBPS PO Prelims 2018 examination started on August 14 and continued till September 4 this year.
The IBPS PO Mains 2018 will be held on November 18, 2018. The declaration of IBPS PO Mains Exam Result 2018 will be in the month of December. Declaration and download of IBPS PO examination will be in January 2019. The Interview Call Letter Date of IBPS PO Interview will be in the month of January/February 2019 while the allotment of Provisional Posting will be in April 2019.
Candidates must paste their recent passport size photograph in the box given on the admit card. They must not forget to carry their photo ID proof along with the admit card. Candidates should note that the IBPS PO Prelim exam is only for qualifying nature and its marks will not be added in the final merit. The prelims exam would have three sections – reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude and test of English language. These sections will be there in the main exam as well.
For the English Language, the syllabus for this section will remain the same for both Prelims and Mains. Important topics are- reading comprehension, error detection, para jumble, sentence completion, idioms and phrases. For Quantitative Aptitude, a lot of formulas and shortcuts (Profit & Loss, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, etc) needs to be memorised.
In case of General Awareness and Descriptive section, Reading (newspapers, magazines, books, etc) these will help one in both the subjects, as it helps in the Comprehension test as well as in brushing up one’s basic grammatical knowledge. As far as Computer Aptitude goes, this is the easiest section which will help one to score well in this section.
