IIM Lucknow is expected to release CAT 2017 notification by end of July for MBA/PGDM programmes in India. soon. The notification is awaited by lakh of management aspirants. As per reports, the CAT Notification is likely to be out on July 30, 2017. This year for CAT 2017 the Convener will be Prof Neeraj Dwivedi. Once the notification of CAT 2017 released, the aspirants will need to check the CAT exam pattern, structure, dates in the CAT 2017 notification. It is expected that CAT 2017 is the mandatory exam for admission to top rated IIMs. The CAT 2017 scorecard will be made accessible at iimcat.ac.in. They wont be intimated individually by SMS. The Score of CAT 2017 will be valid till December 31, 2018 Here are some things to know about CAT 2017 like eligibility criteria, score validity among other necessary details.
For applying for CAT 2017 the students would need to fulfill certain eligibility. The minimum qualification required is bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD). If the obtained marks are in the form of CGPA then it would be converted to percentage marks which will be based on the procedure which has been certified by the university/ institution from where the candidate has passed his/her bachelor degree. The candidates who are appearing in the final year of bachelor’s degree and whose results are awaiting will also be eligible to apply for CAT. This year the the exam pattern will be a Computer based test (CBT). The duration of the paper CAT 2017 exam would be of 180 minutes. It is expected that there would be 100 Objective type questions. The marking scheme will be 3 marks for every correct answer. It is expected that there would be negative Marking. 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section. The syllabus for CAT 2017 will include logical reasoning & data interpretation, verbal ability & Reading Comprehension and quantitative ability. It has to be noted that the shortlisted candidates are called for Personal Interview (PI), Group Discussion (GD) and Written Ability Test (WAT). The CAT admission procedure will be done on the basis of the overall scores which have been secured by the candidates in CAT score card, GD, PI and WAT.
