New Delhi:  The annual meeting of the Maharashtra and Orissa Chapter of IIMC Alumni Association concluded in Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal. Connections 2019 started on February 17 from IIMC Headquarters in Delhi and will culminate on April 13 in Bangladesh’s capital city of Dhaka, during which meetings of different chapters will be held in nearly 20 cities across the world. The meeting of the Maharashtra chapter was held at Mumbai Press Club. IIMCAA President Prasad Sanyal gave away the Special Jury Mention Award for IFFCO Emma Piyush Pandey the Special Jury Mention Award for IFFCO IIMCAA Award for Business Reporting. Apart from this, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary Ritesh Verma, Secretary, Sadhana Arya, and IPS officer Virendra Mishra, bank officer Ratnesh Kumar, Satish Kumar Singh, Vandana Kumari, Shalini Rao, Braj Kishore also addressed the meeting. Addressing the meeting, IIMCAA President Prasad Sanyal spoke about new plans like IIMCAA Medical Assistance Fund and IIMCAA scholarship. Chairman General Secretary Neeraj Bajpei emphasised the need for regular meetings in the chapter and the participation of alumni in it.

The Orissa chapter of the association of the Eastern India campus organized its first Connections meet in Dhenkanal in which campus director Professor Mrinal Chatterjee gave away the Bapi Mohanty Memorial Award to Swapnil Jogelkar. Priyanka Joshi got the K M Srivastav Memorial Award while Bharat Bhushan Paridha got the Chintamani Mohapatra Memorial Award.

Sanjay Sahu, President of IIMCAA Odisha chapter, Ritesh Anand, Executive Chairman, and Kamlesh Rathore, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Chapter attended the meeting apart from Secretary Ritesh Verma, Former Treasurer Diksha Saxena and Central Committee Member Sneha Bhattacharya.

The second Odisha meet was organised in Bhubaneswar where senior journalist Sangeeta Agrawal gave away the Special Jury Mention Award for the IFFCO IIMCAA Award to for Business Reporting to Jaijeet Das. Senior Journalist Jajati Karan, Prabir Pradhan, Itishri Singh Rathore, Rudra Prasann Rath and Abhilash Panigrahi also addressed the meeting. The Bhubaneshwar meet was chaired by Chairperson Sanjay Sahu while it was conducted by treasurer Kishan Barai.

In the meeting, discussion on starting a national award of IFFCO IIMCAA award, Orissa chapter, was also got discussed. The meeting also saw the presence of the Central Committee and representatives of UP Chapter along with IIMCAA Executive President Riteish Anand.
