IIT-JEE Success Story: IIT-JEE is arguably one of the toughest entrance examinations in India with millions of students taking the test each year to realise their dreams of attending any one of country’s 23 prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). However, only those with the utmost dedication and perseverance are actually able to crack the JEE examination, sacrificing their comforts for a chance to become an IITian, that almost guarantees a successful career with a lucrative paycheck.
One such shining example is the inspiring story of Krati Tiwari, a young woman from Mhow, also known as Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, a small town 23 kms away from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city.
Born and raised in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Krati Tiwari aced JEE Advanced 2015, achieving an All-India Rank of 47, and earning her way into IIT Bombay, where she later completed her BTech degree in Computer Science. However, Krati journey to success was anything but easy.
In an interview, Krati Tiwari revealed that she used to travel 35 kilometers daily from her hometown to attend coaching classes in Indore city during her preparation for the IIT-JEE test. The arduous journey, which she undertook daily for two years straight, took a heavy toll on her mental and physical well-being, and there were times when Krati almost decided to quit studies.
However, the young woman persevered and kept marching ahead to achieve her goal, and ultimately, her hard work paid off in 2015 when she secured AIR 47 in JEE Advanced, and earned her admission in IIT Bombay.
After graduating from the prestigious IIT with a BTech degree, she worked as an internship coordinator in the placement cell at her alma mater, and later landed a job at Google. Currently, Krati Tiwari works as a software engineer for the US-based tech giant in Sunnyvale, California.
Krati Tiwari’s remarkable journey from a small-town girl to a software engineer at Google is an inspiration for millions of students who aspiring to achieve success in JEE exams and study at a premier IIT.
